Beautiful Victorian Whole House Rental! Empress of Cape May

Proudly Introducing "The Empress" to guests for the first time! Beautifully restored Grand Victorian home is the Gem of Cape May. The Empress features 8 suites, beautiful porches for outdoor gathering, large parlor, living room, and dining room. Absolute BEST location in town, 2 blocks to beach and Congress Hall, 1 block to Jackson St, and steps to the Washington Mall. Theater and separate entertainment area in the basement perfect for large groups or kids! Unrivaled Parking for 8 cars!

The Empress is available as a year round vacation rental. Please note*** Most Weekends are 3 night minimum, with some exceptions and we do not break up Friday/Saturday nights. There is a 7 night minimum in the summer months between mid June and mid September. During those summer weeks our check in/checkout is on Friday only ***

We include all bed linens and bath towels with our home, and as a result we have very specific checkout procedures that must be followed in order to successfully complete the turnover for our next incoming guests. Immediately upon booking we will send you those instructions and all of the house information regarding the movie theatre, music system throughout the house, etc. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

What a wonderful place! We were a group of 7 couples and each couple had their own room and bath. The house is large, comfortable and quite unique with each space having a distinct personality. It felt like we were living in a different time zone; back in the Victorian age with precious antiques and tapestries in each room. It was a decorator's delight! On top of this the place was spotless and well loved and cared for. And there were many modern amenities as well. We highly recommend the Empress and hope to return one day. Jason, the owner, was very helpful, responded immediately when contacted and was a delight to work with. Viva The Empress!

Totally awesome!

When we opened the door, we were impressed with the kitchen - not so much the size, but the decor and the fact that it was perfectly appointed. A step away breaks into the magnificent dining room and living rooms with plenty of space. All of the bedrooms were so beautifully decorated with unique personalities. The fact that each bedroom had its private bath was very helpful given our large family. The outside porch was delightful, and the location is perfect for the beach, shopping, dining, etc. We felt very "treated" to be staying at The Empress where everywhere we looked we found beauty.

Fantastic New Years Getaway

We had the most amazing time at the Empress! The house has all the charm and more in person as it does in the photos. The character of the house and all the details added to the vibe of the trip and the space was perfect for four families of four. The location is incredible, right downtown with access to shops, restaurants and arcade! Huge thank you to Jason the host who was so easy to work with and very responsive!

Incredible property

We were a group of 11 adults and stayed for 3 nights. Property is just incredible- the condition is pristine, the owner is very responsive in answering questions and the gorgeous details in every room are just amazing. Highly recommend and we will definitely be going back!

Amazing House

Our book club came here to celebrate 25 years together. The house was beautiful, clean, and so well maintained. Jason was always available to answer any questions we had. I would highly recommend this rental.

The Empress was fabulous! Eight ladies (princesses all), eight lovely en suite bedrooms as promised. Plenty of room for gathering and the shortest of walks to both town and the beach. Empressive!

Amazing House, Wonderful Location

This house is simply amazing! From the beautiful decor and amenities to the convenience of being so close to the beach and shopping area, it was truly one of the best stays we’ve had in Cape May. The communication with the owner was also very good. I love this house.

The Beautiful Empress

This beautiful Victorian home was perfect for the 30th anniversary of our friendship celebration. The home was immaculate and the location was within walking distance to wonderful restaurants and shopping. We particularly enjoyed our last evening together in the home theatre.

The historic district of Cape May is the most picturesque in all seasons! Come and explore her for yourself :)

What makes this property unique

All of Cape May is wonderful to explore, but we really love the historic district closest to the walking mall and Congress Hall. It has great walking access to most of the restaurants in town, and also to the beach. Typically we spend a week down there, and although we have access to our car right in the driveway the whole time, we usually end up walking everywhere the entire week, so the Empress's location is wonderful for that reason.
