walking distance to the historic high school, downtown and Bob Dylan's home.
This home has lovely hardwood floors, a baby grand piano and a beautiful electric fireplace. The house was built in 1924 and we are the 3rd owners. We take great care in preserving the natural beauty and the integrity of our lovely childhood home. The house is within walking distance of downtown, the high school, Bob Dylan's boyhood home, the Memorial Ice Arena , and within a few miles of many lakes. There are many outdoor activities: boating, biking, fat tire biking, skiing, fishing, and bird watching in Sax Zimm Bogg.

Lovely place with a great story! I would definitely stay here again! Perfect for our party of birdwatching trip. Close to places to eat and close to the north end of Sax Zim Bog. Our hostess was great and gave us a tour of the house and it's history!
Our group of four enjoyed the comforts of the house and the wonders of the SaxZim Bog. Beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Thanks for a great experience!
Beautiful house with more than enough space for a family to stay in. Beautiful quiet neighborhood close to everything in Hibbing. We truly loved our stay, thank you!

Very clean and had all essentials for a comfortable stay.
Ruth was a great host. The property was perfect for what we needed (4 adults) as we each had our own bedroom/space. The home was in a very quiet/quaint neighborhood and a short drive away from our desired destination we were visiting each day. Everything was very clean.
Everything was great! Comfortable home, great location, fantastic host, and beautiful weather for our recent stay.
We felt "at home" while back in Hibbing. Thank you!
Great home, warm and cozy. Plenty of space, lots of room for the family. Convenient, clear instructions for entry and wifi and tv, easy check out. We really enjoyed the place and would consider booking again the next time we’re in Hibbing. Thanks so much for the wonderful experience.
A great place for two teams to stay during a bonspiel. Close to everything and had everything we needed. Would recommend and stay there again for sure!
Great place to stay while visiting family. It has comfortable beds and is nice and clean. Great neighborhood and will always stay at the Stoyke house when we come to visit our hometown of Hibbing.
Our second stay here was just as good as the first. The space was perfect for our needs during a research trip to Minnesota's Sax-Zim Bog. Clean, convenient, and well located. We would stay here again anytime coming to the area!
Our group of 4 grandpas enjoyed this old family home. We had plenty of space to spread out. We ate all meals at nearby restaurants, and enjoyed the tour of the historic high school.
6 long time friends in town for 2024 Mesabi Trail Tour. Host was so accommodating and friendly. Next door Neighbors were also so friendly. The dining room was heavily used by us for gabbing and games. Everyone slept comfortably. Cannot give enough stars!!

We loved staying in a Hibbing neighborhood within walking distance of the restaurants on Howard. The house had everything we could have wanted. Very tidy. Nice to have 2 bathrooms. We were close enough to the Sax Zim Bog to make a trip there. We would return and recommend it to our friends who also like to bike the Mesabi Trail.
The property was as advertised and fit our needs perfectly. It was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of room for 3 adults with camera equipment and computers.
Plenty of hot water, all of the appliances were in good order, and most important for very early starts was the coffee pot was programmable.
We were in the Hibbing area doing winter wildlife photography and met our needs perfectly.
Wonderful home. Cozy and comfortable. Ruth was a welcoming and responsive host. The location was convenient for what we needed (moving throughout the Range and was a good central spot for us). House does not have AC, but it was cool while we were there and windows opened make the space very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with staples and cooking supplies. Two bathrooms (one in the basement) were great for us.
The Stoyke House was perfect in every way. The home was clean, comfortable, well appointed, and in a great location! We were a party of six in the area to bike the Mesabi trail and the home couldn’t have been a better choice for us to relax and get ready for the next day’s adventure. There was lots of information and pamphlets so we knew what to see and do and where to go to eat. All of our needs were fulfilled. The house also has an excellent book shelf with lots to read in case of a rainy day! We could not have asked for a more charming home to make our trip complete. We will be back again, we have a few miles to still complete on the bike trail!

About the host

Dick and Irene bought this bungalow when they moved to Hibbing because Dad got hired to be the band director at the Lincoln Jr high. They raised a family of 6, Mom was a stay at home mom and our house was the hub of the neighborhood. Since Mom and Dads passing, it was their desire to keep this home in the family. So 3 of us have chosen to keep it in our immediate family for us and others to enjoy their stay in Hibbing. Ruth class of 1975 Philip class of 1982 Andy class of 1988
Why they chose this property
Mom and Dad clearly wanted some of us kids to keep their treasured home after they passed, and that is what 3 of us have done. The 3 of us have a strong connection to our family home as well as a deep connection to Hibbing and being a "ranger" We want others who have family in Hibbing to have a warm home, centrally located to stay, and as important to welcome new folks to our home and Hibbing and the Iron Range and see what this unique , interesting place is all about.
What makes this property unique
The location of this home is walking distance to major Hibbing attractions and all downtown locations. It is in a quiet neighborhood, well maintained homes and yards, and is perfect for your stay in Hibbing. The town is centrally located to other Iron Range towns, to do some touring in other "Range towns" and see the beauty of Northern Minnesota.
