It was the perfect lakes country home for us. Fantastic views on the calmer bay off of Leach Lake. The owner was very helpful communicating with us for anything we needed. We had the hot water go out one morning. I called and we were immediately helped out. It was minor we just had to reset a circuit on the panel. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms were comfortable. Wi-fi worked as indicated and you can bring your own streaming device if you want. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation.
Great week, beautiful cabin and location was perfect!
Had a fabulous week! Only complaint being we had to pull up our pet fence which is a bit time consuming for grass cutting and that never happened. Never put back up because we didn’t know if it would be the next day or when?
We really enjoyed the cabin. There was enough space for everyone, and the scenery (lake, stars, etc.) was beautiful! Our hosts were very helpful when we needed them, and were willing to go the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. We enjoyed swimming in the lake, however, we found we needed water shoes because there are many sharp shells in the lakebed.
My husband, adult son, friend, & I had a great time fishing. The cabin was as advertised and the manager was responsive when I asked for early check-in & messed up de-arming the security system. The bedrooms were quiet and the kitchen was well equipped w/everything I needed to cook meals. Plenty of room for us all to stretch out, and our dogs enjoyed the nice lawn. All the amenities you would need were there. We enjoyed great fishing except for one cold, rainy day of our 4 day trip. We will definitely stay again.
This was the perfect spot for our family of two adults and two teens. We could have slept a couple more, but that would start to feel a little tight with one shower.
In the evening, there was space to play games at the table, and space to watch a movie on a rainy day because the two sitting areas are beside each other creating a “balcony” feel. :-)
The two docks gave room to put our rented boat in a lift and also have a great spot to drink our morning coffee or read in the evening. We loved that the water was so accessible from the house — not a chore to run back and forth if something is forgotten. Screen porch was handy, too.
Location is awesome, with easy access to Walker Bay (and downtown Walker) by boat. Kabekona feels protected, but big enough that it was never crowded, even on the holiday. Took advantage of Paul Bunyan trail… it’s a quick walk to the trail, then a 5k run into town where my hubby or kids could pick me up at a coffee shop. :-)
Everything was very clean!! Communication with Savannah was excellent. Will book again when we’re back this way!!
It was a very nice cabin feel in the woods had great comunication with owner and had an amazing time. The place was very clean and very nice. would recomend to anyone it would be a great family get away lots of room for people. To bad the weather was super crappy but the house made up for it. Great location, great view, great property! Will forsure want to come back to stay again!
I was duly impressed upon entry to the property. I had the place to myself for some hours until my friends began to arrive. The first to arrive kept saying, over the ensuing 5 hours, "this is nice!" Cove Cabin is more than nice; I've stayed at a famous local hotel multiple times and that facility has nothing on this place.
I have no reqret booking the cabin whatsoever. The only difficulty we experienced was the lack of bumpers on the dock. We beached our boat instead as my friend was not in favor of the boat damaging the dock's wooden rim.
Thank you so much for a wonderful place to relax and enjoy Leech Lake!
We had a great stay. Caught a ton of fish!! House was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Close to bike trail and Walker. Management was easy to reach when we had an issue with the furnace. Issue was dealt with promptly. No complaints!
We enjoyed our stay at Cove Cabin and found it had everything we needed for our family with young kids. The beach was perfect, the kitchen was clean and well stocked, and the location was great for boating and getting into town. The only issue we encountered was that the washing machine ruined a few items of our clothing with rust stains. We think this was caused by a power outage and probably an isolated incident. We would still definitely return in the future!
Beautiful views, love it. Dock is tough for older people. No poles and lift has no steps or poles, very hard to get on and off. Lift switch also kicks on and off all the time so you need to keep reseting GFI switch.
Enjoyed every bit of this lovely cabin on Kabekona Bay/Leech Lake. Nice boat lift, sand beach, private yard and spectacular sunsets! Exploring Leech Lake was amazing - used the great fishing guide service Kevin Joslyn of Leech Lake Guide Team. Lots of big walleyes!! Very comfortable cabin in all regards! Loved being tucked back into the woods and the cozy "up north" design.
My husband and I came here with our two young kids, our two dogs, and my brother and his wife for a long weekend. Before we even got there the owners did everything they could to make sure we had everything we needed and quickly and clearly answered any questions we had. The cabin is not too far from other houses but it feels much more secluded. The cabin was spotless, had everything we needed, and everyone agreed that the beds were incredibly comfortable. There was lots of room for games, eating, and relaxing. We had so much fun and would definitely recommend this place to our friends and family.
