My Happy Place : Space for EVERYONE plus a PRIVATE POOL too!

If you're looking for a spacious vacation home suitable for ALL of your friends and family members, My Happy Place will give you all you need and MORE! You'll enjoy almost 3,000 sq ft of beautiful beachy interior with a SUPER BONUS attached 2 car garage set up with a 70" TV and seating for all. There are two decks in the super private and quiet backyard that offers a private above ground pool and a large shed filled with guest bikes for your enjoyment. You can use the kayaks and the SUP if you'd like to enjoy a paddle from the near by launch on the east side of the island where you can enjoy upfront views of the incredible lighthouse and the amazing wild Chincoteague Ponies. Located on a quiet street just off Ridge Road and centrally located on our favorite island, My Happy Place is a super short drive to the Chincoteague National Refuge and the beautiful beaches of Assateague Island. As seasoned hosts, we pride ourselves in providing more for our guests than you'll ever find at any other vacation rental on the island. This is a Saturday to Saturday 7 day minimum rental during the peak season. 3 day minimum otherwise.

Remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights
All trash should be BAGGED during your stay and put in the garbage receptacle at the curb. Any excess garbage should be brought to the town garbage facility located at 5307 Deep Hole Road.
Linen / towels: kindly leave all used bed linens and towels to the laundry room before your departure. Wet or damp towels should be left on top of the washer.
Any furniture or decor moved during your stay should be returned to its original location. Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us. We hope you will come back for another visit soon.

Our host was on top of communication, answering any questions promptly. The place was also so well set up for everyone is our family, with plenty of space and lots to stay entertained. The location was also perfect for access to main street and the wildlife preserve.

My Happy Place

The house is lovely, in a nice neighborhood, close to the shops, restaurants and beach. The pool was refreshing after a day at the beach.The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to prepare meals.

Very comfortable home. We loved having a pool on the property, especially considering how hot it was while we were there and that the pool had some shade cover. The garage was a surprise game room and there was plenty for everyone to do. We were very grateful for access to bikes and beach supplies. Our host was wonderful! She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay, even taking us out on her kayaks. 100% recommend staying here!

Run down, dirty house, false advertising

This was likely a beautiful place to stay at one point, but the property hasn't been maintained, and the photos listed are not representative of what it is now. It had flies and ants in the kitchen, broken shelves in cupboards, leaking sink, a front door that was broken and then replaced badly so we couldn't lock it, and this was just the entryway and kitchen. The host was dishonest. Avoid this place at all costs.

I'm sorry you were not happy with your stay considering I immediately (within seconds) responded to your concerns and I PERSONALLY came to the house THREE times within the first 48 hours of your arrival to address ALL your "concerns". Yes there was broken beach chair but I gladly replaced it and inspected and counted each of the other chairs with your and your father-in-law's approval to be sure you had what you asked for as well as bringing an additional beach umbrella. I am amazed that you didn't reach out to me when you thought I should be responsible for the flies that roam freely in the air on this beautiful island or the ants that appear when you leave your food outside. I invited you to call me anytime so I could assure your satisfaction during your stay but instead you stayed the entire week, departed and THEN tried to get your money back. Your failed attempt at a full refund is proof that not only VRBO but also YOUR credit card company SIDED with ME. We take pride in providing our guests with a wonderful place to stay that provides more amenities than most any other rental on Chincoteague. And for everyone who is reading this: Take a look at all of our 10/10 reviews. THREE DAYS AFTER YOUR REVIEW: 10/10 THE GUESTS IMMEDIATELY BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL: 10/10
