We had a wonderful stay at this home in Blowing Rock. Traveling with four grandchildren can be a challenge when the weather doesn’t cooperate, but this house made the trip enjoyable despite several days of rain. The layout was perfect for our family. The main floor had two bedrooms, while the lower level offered two additional bedrooms, giving everyone plenty of space to spread out. The large dining table comfortably seated all six of us, making family meals easy, and the kitchen was spacious and well-equipped for preparing everything we needed. The real highlight for the kids was the game area. The garage featured a ping-pong table and a dartboard, which got plenty of use. They loved the arcade games, including NBA Jam and Ms. Pac-Man, along with the foosball table. Having so many indoor activities turned rainy days into a lot of fun.The outdoor amenities were equally impressive. There was a grill on the deck and two inviting fire pits—one in the front and one in the back. Unfortunately, the weather kept us from enjoying them, but they would be fantastic on a clear evening. The home is located on the mountainside, so the driveway is fairly steep. During our summer visit it was not an issue at all, though visitors during snowy weather may want to keep that in mind.Overall, this is a clean, comfortable, thoughtfully equipped home that works especially well for families with children. We would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone
