Expansive deck with plenty of seating and a gas grill. Big yard with plenty of shade trees, two hammocks, a firepit, and a dock. Pet-friendly. 2 adult & 2 youth kayaks and 2 paddleboards. 1 flat screen TV. Wifi. Non-smoking home. Hour to Atlanta. About 20 min to Covington. (30 day minimum rentals only)
The space
Here's what we think is special about our home: you enjoy a newly renovated home. But, perhaps more importantly, you can see the lake from EVERY room (OK, except the bathrooms and laundry room).
Here's what we think is special our property: being on a peninsula and having 200-feet of frontage means you get this great view of the lake. And the land across from us is undeveloped so it's not unusual to see deer, heron and other wildlife.
The location
Jackson Lake is a nearly 5,000 acre lake with 135 miles of shoreline. Our home is in between two "no-wake" zones so it is relatively quiet. It's near Bear Creek Marina where you can launch your own boat. In the summer, the marina offers food, drinks and music on the patio on the weekend.
We love that we are only about 20-25 minutes to many restaurants, shops and attractions. After a day lazing around the lake, you are close to plenty of different places to eat and places to explore. Whether you love exploring history, seeking outdoor adventures, or visiting TV and movie filming locations...there is so much to do around here.
There are two motion-activated outdoor cameras for security.

About the host
Hosted by Kris Byron

My husband and I are busy professionals - but we love to spend our free time at the lake. When we are not working or at the lake, we enjoy traveling. We also volunteer in animal rescue - we volunteer at a local animal shelter and also foster cats and dogs. We have two furry children: Moomoo, our dog, and Tiki, our cat. Both are "foster fails" and they are absolute best friends.
Why they chose this property
This property is special in so many ways. We are on a peninsula so we have sweeping views of the lake from inside the house. Every room has stunning views of the lake. Our property has over 200 ft of lake front and is on approximately 1 acre. The land across from us is undeveloped - so you can often see heron, deer, and other wildlife on the shores. We are also flanked by two "no-wake zones" - so boaters tend to go by pretty slow.
What makes this property unique
Take a nap in one of the hammocks.
Take a kayak or paddle board to the waterfalls (a leisurely one-hour round trip).
Make s'mores around the firepit.
Enjoy a glass of wine or cocktail on the large deck.
Sit in an Adirondack chair and watch the herons and ducks go by.
Hop in the car for a 20-min drive for restaurants, shops, & attractions.
