Very relaxing. Jon is a great guy. Never met Jaimie and Chris, but they are very easy to work with and have made some really nice improvements…especially the new coffee pot! Ha, it’s the small things.
The home is beautiful and very well maintained. The surrounding area was gorgeous and the host responded to questions quickly! We would highly recommend this rustic cabin!
Great place to stay in the Decorah area. A quiet and secluded location but still just a short drive to get back into town. The house is very spacious and well appointed.
This was perfect for our annual girls weekend. The host was very prompt in answering my questions the weekend we were there. The scenery was great and the price was very reasonable. We would definitely stay here again. Jean
Place was perfect. Grounds were a little soggy due to heavy rainfall, but the waterfalls were worth it. Used the deck with the waterfall view whenever we could sit outside. Would definitely return if we are in the area again.
This was our second stay at this property. The waterfalls are so beautiful and unique. They had everything we needed for a family weekend together. It rained but there were plenty of games and a pool table to keep us entertained.
We stayed outside of Decorah at this lovely house for a yearly girls trip. The house is a bit dated, but spacious, and in a beautiful setting! There is a repair that should be made, the bathroom on the main floor, has no trim and the pocket door comes off its tracks. Beds are very comfortable! I would recommend this eighties get away, overall it was great!
Serene, magical setting!! The babbling brook / creek, yard and horses are straight out of a dreamy country movie. Perfectly clean home and excellent layout for large groups. Comfortable beds, lovely firepit, grills and games. We didn't want to leave! Will definitely be rebooking in the future :)
This was our second time staying at Rustic Acres. Both times have been for a girls getaway. We will definitely be back again. I also for to take my family there for a little getaway sometime soon as well
We visited with three families and kids ranging in age from 7 to 13, and it was such a great experience. The kids absolutely loved exploring the stream and waterfall—definitely a highlight for them. The property manager was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made everything even more enjoyable. The place was well-equipped with everything we needed, and it was the perfect setup for multiple families to relax and spend time together. It was a great stay, and we’d absolutely come back!
Wonderful property. Spring and creek were beautiful! House was clean, well-equipped and warm even in January in Decorah Iowa. Uncle Jon was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ all around!!
We have stayed at this property for three years in a row. Love the quiet, beauty, relaxation.
The new deck is gonna be great.
Thank you for sharing your property with our family.
The house and property are perfect. It was the perfect get away for 2 families with teenagers to catch up and spend quality family time together. The kitchens had everything we needed. And te kids loved the board games. Especially Harry Potter Clue and Decorah Monopoly.
We absolutely loved our stay at Rustic Acres!! The house is huge and has so many fun touches. We loved playing the board games, making s'mores at the fire pit, eating dinner out on the deck, and the pool table. But the highlight is the creek and waterfall in the yard!! My kids had a blast and spent hours exploring the creek and waterfall. The house is a perfect location, just outside of town and close to all the attractions. It was so much fun and we're already thinking of making plans to come back next year!!
