Cabin was easy to locate and perfect distance from downtown Gatlinburg. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and listening to the sound of the running creek from the large porch. During our stay momma bear with two cubs walked right up the creek next to the cabin wall. Even saw a black bear in downtown Gatlinburg. It was amazing. The only items that might need addressed are the fact that the stove (which we never used) handle is being held on with duck tape and the screen door for the living room sliding door doesn’t seem to fit the door and was hard to close and open. The cabin and host was wonderful just what we needed. Thank you Geri for allowing us the opportunity to make your cabin our home for the weekend.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay & got to see the bears. They seem to always hang out at the creek in my front yard & are such fun to watch from the deck high above, especially the little cubs. We finally got the bracket in to reattach the oven door last week & will be taking care of that today. The living room screen door is constantly coming off the track, making it difficult to move. I will have my maintenance man look at that today while he is there.
Charming villa with soothing rushing water sounds a short distance from Ober Mountain. The owner (Geri) is the most helpful and accommodating VRBO owner we have ever worked with.
Had a wonderful time staying there for my sons birthday. We hit Ober mountain which was extremely convenient to get to. The place was cozy and accommodating. Geri was very kind. Checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable thru text message. Would highly recommend.
Cabin was cozy and removed from the tourist trap of downtown. Our kids enjoyed the creek and the hot tub. Beds were comfortable and we appreciated being able to do laundry and have a half bathroom for the kids. If you aren’t planning to cook, the kitchen is fine and has basic items needed for cereal and making sandwiches. We did make dinner one night and that was a little challenging. Host was very responsive and kind.

Well, I am certainly going to respond to the kitchen complaint part of this review!!! Cathy said. “If you aren’t planning to cook, the kitchen is fine and has basic items needed for cereal and making sandwiches. We did make dinner one night and that was a little challenging” OMG OMG There is a kitchen range with 4 burners & full-size oven, air fryer microwave, refrigerator, all small appliances that include an electric mixer, electric can opener, blender, George Forman grill, slow cooker, large electric skillet, abundance of cookware, pots & pans, utensils, dishes of all types, toaster, regular coffee maker, plus a Keurig. There are kitchen cabinets and a counter & a separate pantry. What in the world could be missing? I have had guests host large Thanksgiving & Christmas dinners for their families in this chalet for the past 6 years & have never heard a single complaint about the kitchen. So, Cathy, during your short 3-night stay, you say all you could make without a challenge is cereal and sandwiches?? What a ridiculous thing to say! What did you expect in a mountain chalet, Cathy? A gourmet kitchen?
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay the 4 nights we were there. We spent most of the time in the hot tub when we were at the cabin. The master bed was super comfortable.
This house is a great place to stay near GSMNP - the location can't be beat, it's wonderful for kids, and the setting is peaceful. Geri is a great, responsive host. Thanks for a great vacation stay!
Great little cottage that was perfect for our family of four. The kids loved playing in the creek! Easy drive down into Gatlinburg (though expensive to park once you're there so plan accordingly).
Exactly what we needed. A quick birthday weekend getaway for our 2 boys and our dogs

I allowed Cathy to bring 2 large German Shepherds with her to my cabin, with her agreement to the Pet Policy. How did she repay me? By leaving dog hair all over the couch, on the bedding upstairs & downstairs, on the rugs...all over the cabin. The housekeeper had to bring in extra help to clean it all up before the next guest arrived.....carpets & upholstery had to be shampooed; upholstery & bedspreads had to be washed...the housekeepers said it was one of the nastiest conditions they had ever seen left by a guest. Cathy, is this the way you live at your home? OBVIOUSLY, it is!
Cathy, the Pet Fees you paid were for the privilege of bringing your dogs along on your vacation; they were not for housekeeping to clean up your nasty mess. As the Pet Policy states & that you agreed & electronically signed, I will be charging you an additional cleaning fee.
I would think that even most people who live like that at home would probably try to keep others from knowing how nasty they are & clean up when in someone else's home, but not Cathy. So disgusting! So disrespectful!
