A lovely place to stay. Easy in and out. Apartment had all the supplies needed for a comfortable stay and the owner even provided a treat basket with wine and chips. A really nice welcoming touch.
Fantastic location in Paris. I loved the spaciousness. The host was wonderful. The view was spectacular in the fall with the leaves off the trees. You can walk to so many places from the ile.
Outstanding flat on the Ile St. Louis with wonderful views of a park along the Seine. Spacious, bright and comfortable. Ideal location to walk beyond the Ile and to amenities, such as grocery stores, cafes and patisseries. The property manager was exceptional, responding to our initial questions immediately. Highly recommend!
We booked this place because we wanted to be on the Ile Ste Louis near family who live nearby. We had stayed on the island before and it was very quiet. However, this apartment is on a main thoroughfare that is very busy and loud, with lots of police sirens. Otherwise, the location is a great central jumping off point for visiting Paris. Our main complaint is that there were no instructions for anything in the apartment and there were some maintenance issues (closet door falling off its tracks, loose chair back). We had to contact the owner for Wi-Fi info, code for getting into the building, how to operate the cooktop, etc. There were no hand towels for the bathroom-we finally found some at the back of the top shelf of a closet. No kitchen towels at all. The street buzzer did not work so if one of us was coming home without one of the two keys, someone would have to go down and let them in. Unfortunately, all of the other places we stayed in had full instructions and everything we could have needed. So it’s hard not to compare!

Dear John,
Thank you for your comment, it is very important to us that the customer experience in our apartment is exceptional. This is why upon your arrival we asked you not to hesitate to contact us for anything, we would have liked you to do so to tell us about your inconveniences, we may have found an immediate solution.
However, I must respond because some elements are imprecise and some assessments are, in my opinion, unfair.
- First of all, the location: it is one of the best locations on the Ile Saint Louis, in fact our direct neighbor on the left is the private mansion of one of the richest men in France. When the double-glazed windows are closed, nothing can be heard.
- Regarding the instructions, it is a private apartment, so we do not put labels on the devices, the wifi code is written behind the router and we immediately gave it to you when you asked for it.
The cooktop as well as all the household appliances are new and of the best brands, the use is intuitive otherwise you will find the manual on the internet or you could have asked us to send it to you.
- Concerning furniture, we like to buy mainly from antique dealers furniture which has a history (and which is often more expensive than new furniture) but it is always quality and branded furniture (roche bobois, etc.). After you left we brought back a carpenter because the cleaning lady told us that there was a problem with the back of one of the chairs in the dining room which was moving and one of the cupboard doors which was difficult to close , we wish you had told us when you saw the problem or when it arose, we would have sent a carpenter immediately.
- Concerning the street buzer in fact there was a problem in the street platform due to one of the apartments who incorrectly changed its intercom but it was immediately fixed just before your arrival, we told you and we told you said to tell us if it still didn't work (we couldn't check on our side because we weren't in Paris and the repairman didn't check each apartment) and you didn't tell us anything. After your departure the cleaning lady told us that there was still a problem with our apartment and we immediately had it fixed, since then it has worked very well.
- Concerning the towels in the bathroom and the kitchen, we ask the cleaning lady not to hang them up in order to ensure that each guest does not use them beforehand. They were all folded on top of each other in the bathroom and in one of the drawers in the kitchen, you just took them and put them in.
We would have liked you to also talk about the positive points, the cleanliness of the apartment, the quality of its equipment, the beautiful welcome basket, the fact that the apartment was already well furnished and that there was no no need to go shopping, one of the most beautiful parks in Paris right in front of the apartment, the nicest part of the quays which is below the apartment, the view of this park and the Seine not overlooked, etc.
In short, I'm sorry for this long message, I thank you for the criticism because that's the only way to improve, but I find your rating unfair and your comment very imprecise and very unfair.
