The unit was beautifully and tastefully decorated, clean, and thoughtfully stocked, from extra blankets and pillows to beach essentials like chairs and snorkel gear. The kitchen had everything we needed, even a drawer full of spices! And of course, the views were absolutely stunning — being a penthouse unit right on the ocean made it unforgettable. The owner was friendly, responsive, and easy to reach. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

This is an amazing, beautiful condo in the best property in Princeville. We loved our stay and are looking forward to returning. Everything about this condo was fantastic, including the incredible view, living spaces and furnishings. The kitchen is also super well equipped with everything you could possibly need for cooking, and the closet comes well stocked with tennis rackets and beach equipment. Gary was also an exceptional host -- felt like we were staying at the home of someone we know. He sent us a great welcome packet with info we consulted throughout our stay. I've booked countless VRBOs and this is at the very top of the list.

Perfect Location!

Just returned from a "too short"stay in Kauai. The owner of this property is amazing: Gary really listens to his renters and offers wonderful advice. Although we did some traveling to other parts of the island, we would have been perfectly happy just spending more of our time at the condo and visiting only nearby attractions. Such a lovely place and perfect for our group of four adults.

Family Trip to North Kauai

Lovely stay at Gary's apartment for 5 nights with my family of four. Host was very responsive and left a handy guide book for the area. I also appreciated all of the beach and sports gear available for guest use. Outstanding ocean views from the property, condo was immaculate and comfortable, very true to the photos and information posted on vrbo. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Amazing views!!

The place has incredible views both of the mountains from the front door to expansive ocean views from everywhere else. Very clean and spacious as well as the AC being great. Not a whole lot negative about the place. The primary shower head does leak a bit, but it wasn’t a big deal. I will say that being asked to clean dishes and do laundry for the price of the rental, which included a substantive cleaning fee, was a little frustrating.

Amazing property; fantastic host

The condo was exactly as depicted, and then some. The host, Gary, has thought of everything that a guest might need on a stay. Along with being beautifully situated with an ocean view that stretches for miles, the property is perfect for a romantic getaway. It is close to some great restaurants (short drive), but also perfect for cooking in the great kitchen. Gary is a pleasure to work with. He sent us a welcome package weeks before our trip that was incredibly helpful. Highly recommend this property!

Perfect Getaway!

We had a fantastic visit! The condo description and pictures on VRBO were exactly what we found when we arrived. The sunrise and sunset views were amazing, the location was perfect, and the condo was perfectly equipped. Gary - thank you for helping us have the most fantastic vacation! Great location, beautiful condo!

We liked that we were minutes from Hanalei and the best beaches on the North Shore! Ocean views were amazing. Hideaways Beach was a gem, but it's a steep climb down the stairs to get there. Condo was in perfect condition and highly organized with everything we needed. Pool is not open until April due to renovations, so we did not get to try the pool.

Spectacular, Five Stars

Our stay was spectacular,can't express how beautiful views all around are! Gary's home is special place to rest and relax, everything we needed was provided for, groceries near by, the outdoor grill was spot on for a staycation. The whales put on a special show from our balcony on our last full day! Gary, was pleasure to have, helpful knowledgeable and attentive when needed, can't wait to come back with family! Do not think about it….just book 402!

Gary is a fabulous host….the best. Someone who cares about your stay makes all the difference. 402 is fabulously appointed with amazing views. Everything you need is here. We did a 2 week stay and made ourselves completely at home. We hope to return.

Wonderful North Island Property

This beautiful condo is perfectly located on the north side of the island for those who are interested in hiking, snorkeling and kayaking, in particular. The property has everything needed for your comfort and enjoyment, including outdoor recreational equipment and a thoughtfully-equipped kitchen. There also are many resources in the condo to help you plan your days. If I were pressed to recommend any improvements, they would be only a beach umbrella or beach tent, and an umbrella on the lanai over the lounge chairs. The sun in Kauai is very intense!

We stayed at the Ekdahl's condo on the beautiful North Shore of Kauai. These are very comfortable condos with a great layout and expansive ocean view. The benefit of staying in unit 402 is that it's a top floor unit, which provides additional privacy, since the balconies are terraced. Also, there is A/C in both bedrooms and in the living room area, which can come in handy during the summer months. Fans throughout as well. There is plenty of available parking and a swimming pool on property. It's also just a few steps from the St. Regis Resort, and near the market in Princeville and the Town of Hanalei. There are no elevators, so keep in mind that you will have to carry up your luggage. However, it's well worth it!

Wonderful Vacation

We stayed in #402 for nearly two weeks. Condo was well-appointed with everything we needed, and more. Sometimes I worry about furniture quality and cleanliness in a unit that gets rented, but I was very pleasantly surprised with this one. We did utilize the A/C pretty extensively and spent less than $200 over the two week period. Well worth it! Despite the brief island-wide power outage and daily rain showers we absolutely love Kauai. I’d consider staying in #402 again if we return. It is a great space, and although Princeville is a bit of a drive from towns like Kapa’a, it is beautiful and we didn’t really mind. After all, it’s island life and we had nothing but time.

The property is so nice, we were very happy with the location, views our our patio, access to a private beach area, and the overall accommodations in the unit. Gary the owners was very responsive and easy to engage with. My wife, me, and 23 year old daughter went on the trip and this place was perfect for us!

Perfect location

Had 8 great nights at condo which is located on the northeast side of the island in Princeville with beautiful views of the ocean from the lanai and almost every room. Small complex with pool and tennis court with this unit being on the top floor. Condo had everything you need from snorkel gear to chairs, coolers and umbrella. We played tennis every day with the provided racquets. Overall a very nice place to stay and had great communication with the property owner.
