Everything about our stay was excellent! The cabin is easy to reach, right on the St. Mary's River, cozy, spacious, and stocked with every possible necessity. None of us wanted to leave!
A beautiful piece of property with beach access excellent boat watching. All needed supplies were offered. The only suggestion I would make is to offer a pontoon boat rental option.
If you’re looking for a clean place out in the country on the water, this is your spot. The beach was perfect for the kids to play in the water and the cabin was clean with everything you need to enjoy your stay. We will be staying here again.
The cabin is absolutely gorgeous, it’s still close to the road but the property feels woodsy with a lot of trees. We loved everything about our stay, we didn’t catch many fish but that was okay. The weather was perfect and would highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to reconnect with nature!!
Incredible! The views of the lake are breathtaking. The cabin is cozy and perfect. Seeing 1000ft cargo ships crawling by is magical. Best vacation we’ve ever had
What a wonderful view! Our kids loved the little beach area and how shallow and sandy it was in front of the house! It was quiet and comfortable. Its not fancy or rustic, it hits just right for a comfortable family gathering for fishing, swimming games. Would love to come back again someday!
We had a fantastic time. The property owners must spray for mosquitoes as they were not too bad at the property compared to other locations on the island. We have already booked our stay for next year!
Great property for a family gathering. Private fire pit, and seating, dock, and pontoon boat available. Prime location to view lake freighters going upbound to the Soo locks. Ample kitchen equipment for family meal preparation. Overall, pleasant scenery and property.
We really enjoyed our stay. It was chilly & rainy multiple days but we had a good time anyway. Only got to use the boat once but again, that was fun too. Really loved watching the freighters come through & researching them with the grandkids. Owners were vey responsive to any questions I had. Highly recommend a stay here!
Had a wonderful vacation on Sugar Island. Cabin was just as described. Property Manager responded quickly to my questions. Had a great time fishing. Dogs loved playing in the yard and water. Tons of freighters passed by. Definitely will recommend the place to everyone.
We are previous renters from 2021 and we enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed it so much that we came back this summer and brought our adult children and enjoyed the river, fishing and boating. We traveled to Canada and celebrated the 4th in Sault St. Marie and always enjoyed our quiet evening back at the cabin with the cool breeze coming off the river. Love this place it will not disappoint!
We loved our fall getaway at this adorable cabin. The fall colors were gorgeous and the weather couldn't have been better! Sunny and cool temperatures so we could explore the area comfortably as a family with our 2 dogs. We especially loved seeing the freighters lumber past the cabin- our favorite times were lounging on the huge porch early in the morning and late at night when the lights from the freighters drifted past. We hope to return for a summer trip! The cabin had EVERYTHING! It was comfortable and cozy- a true gem!
We enjoyed the peacefulness of Sugar Island. The cabin was very nice and had EVERYTHING in the kitchen that you could possibly need!! I was very surprised to find it so well stocked. It was amazing to watch the ships float by, one after another. We counted an average of 5 a day! My hubby and son were a bit disappointed that they were unable to land a trophy fish, but they had fun trying! I definitely recommend staying here, Cris was very quick at answering any questions we had. Thanks for sharing your lovely cabin with us!!!
