A lovely, spacious holiday home where we could fully relax and enjoy our evenings after a busy day of sightseeing. The house is situated in a modern, quiet neighbourhood with its own parking space at the front door. We enjoyed the well-designed layout - open plan ground floor with double patio doors to the garden where we could sit and watch the birds in the olive tree. The bedrooms have sufficient clothes storage as well as large, comfortable beds. We walked into La Rochelle on our first day which took about 30 minutes; we used the buses regularly which we’d definitely recommend, especially as they’re free on the first Saturday of each month; but we also cycled day and night which took only 10-15 minutes along great cycle paths. The Hyper-U supermarket is just 5 minutes drive from the house, Cognac an hour away and lovely Ile de Re only 15 minutes over the bridge. Karine was a warm and welcoming host, who provided clear instructions and good advice when needed. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this home, and we look forward to returning one day.
