Very nice cabin! Just a really steep driveway and very hard to get truck turned around. Had a few visitors the first morning! Three bears were out back of the cabin. We had a pleasant stay.

Property was Quite relaxing and a good place to escape the world for a few days.
The cabin was beautiful and had THE BEST VIEW! The location was far enough from the city for privacy but still not too far to commute within the city for various activities. My favorite part of the cabin was the hot tub (and the view of course). Although it was just me and my spouse, it seemed roomy enough for 4 people. Check in process was smooth and everyone was nice and responsive. Definitely will be staying again!
My husband and I booked this location for our vacation because we wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle. Boy did we get that. Everything was exactly as it was described in the listing. We would definitely stay there again. Just a small warning about the location of the cabin, it is on top of a mountain. Personally, the roads gave me anxiety, but we managed :-)
Checking in and out was painless and helpful - and close to the property. The ladies at Volunteer Cabin rental are friendly, answered all questions, and had great local restaurant recommendations. The view was incredible - since it is on a mountain ridge, we had a beautiful view both directions - on the way up/down the windy road, and from the back deck on rocking chairs or in the hot tub. We watched a bear (in perfect safety) from the back deck. We were close to restaurants/ entertainment and also to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park - Line Springs Rd entrance. After an initial reboot to the WiFi, internet worked continuously during our stay. For a place called "cozy," the cabin did not feel cramped - with the one exception of the winding staircase - which is sturdy and cute, but still a winding staircase. We kept our larger luggage upstairs anyway. Plenty of towels. We loved our stay!
We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was perfect for our family of four! Two kids, 4 & 9, stayed in the lower level and my husband and I slept on the Murphy queen bed. The downstairs bed is incredibly soft and the Murphy bed is on the hard side. I was hesitant about the spiral staircase at first but, it was actually very easy to go up and down with no trouble. The washer and dryer worked great. The pool table was a lot of fun. There were a few things that could be fixed like the microwave door but, it was definitely a place I would return to. The hot tub was clean and we enjoyed it after a long day at Dollywood! Though it’s in the woods there were not any bugs. Very clean
Had a great time for a winter get away. No issues even when i arrived and it was cold and snowy the first night. Great view and quiet.. Clean with all i need for my stay. Great host, will go back again.
If you are looking for a real rustic mountain location, this is it. This cabin is located at the TOP of a mountain. The drive could turn people off, but the views make up for it.
We stayed here during a short 4 day trip to the smokies. This cabin, it's views, and location were all amazing! It's located in Wears Valley, which is much smaller and less touristy compared to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. This was perfect for us as we were there to hike the mountains, enjoy nature, and have some quiet time. The cabin is in a private location without neighboring properties close by. You can see a few off in the distance, but that's it. Bed was comfy, AC was cold, place was clean, and property management was very nice. If you're looking to make home cooked meals the whole stay, the cooking utensils leave something to be desired, but this didn't matter for us. We're hoping to make it back to the smokies sooner than later and would absolutely stay in this property again.
Nice and cozy. Amazing mountain views. The hot tub was fabulous as well. We had visitors - mice in the kitchen and every night on the back porch or in the venting some type of animal that made noise every night that kept us up. Possibly racoons.
This cabin was absolutely beautiful. Saw a bear on the last day. The only issue we had was a small animal came into the cabin every night. It lived beneath the floor.
This cabin was absolutely perfect for my husband and I. It was all already stocked and cleaned as promised. We didn't do any cooking there so clean up before we left was easy.
The view!!! so so so perfect! I love the view so much especially with the hot tub makes for magical mornings and evenings.
Fantastic cabin ,awesome view, hot tub ,fireplace, pool table, perfect place for me and my wife to spend our 20th anniversary!! Easy booking process as well , thanks VCR!!!
This was the perfect cabin for our family (two teen boys). The views are spectacular. We enjoyed playing pool, sitting on the porch, and relaxing in the hot tub. The cabin is in a perfect location and close to Pigeon Forge. We can’t wait to come back!!
Our experience was fantastic! I recommend reading the directions to get to the cabin versus trusting the GPS. We drove 4 hours after working all day and struggled to find our cabin. Once we found it everything was absolutely perfect!
the view was amazing once all the fog cleared and it was a very cozy spot that we will be coming back too. only down side is they didint come to clean the hot tub and a mouse or a small animal is living in the floor
