I want to emphazise that the the Northern Lights are predicted to peak in 2025. 2021 was an exceptional year and so far 2022 has had some incredible Auroras. Generally, the peak season begins August 20-April 15. Realize that the earlier and later in the season, the darkness is less, so you generally have less of a window to view the lights. It is warmer, but your viewing period is shorter. I was just above the arctic circle for a week (Sept 2-11) and had 2 phenomenal evenings of lights viewing 4 hours and 2 hours. If you want to have a good opportunity to view the lights, check out the UAF Geophysical Aurora Forecast which can help predict peak times to have success. That being said, I have had excellent viewing with a 2 kp level. This year there have been a number of days with a 6 kp level which is extraordinary.. If you are interested in viewing or photographing the lights, let me know what you are interested in and I will do my best to help. https://www.gi.alaska.edu/monitors/aurora-forecast

A great central location via car access. Our host Brian was very communicative and helpful before and during our stay. The place was cozy with all the basic amenities. Was nice to have garage access during the winter.
The unit was quite comfortable and spacious. Everything you could expect was there (dishes, cooking utensils, etc,) were there and in great working order. Bed was very comfortable. This unit exactly met what I was looking for. Would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Fairbanks.
Super cozy for 1-2 people. Placed in the heart of town with good access to shopping and the university. The host is super helpful answering all my questions and concerns quickly. 10/10
Well furnished and all we needed for our stay. Just a bit warm inside.

Hi Jim,
Was the air conditioning working? Sorry it was too warm! Sometimes, the thermostat gets shifted by the cleaning lady. I will check it out.

This property was a joy for my daughter to stay at. The accommodations were neat, clean and well equipped. The Host went out of their way to keep us informed of things to do and see. Would recommend highly to future guests.
Great place to stay! Close to the airport. Check-in process was good; roomy one bedroom apartment is clean with a comfy bed, kitchen is stocked with plenty of dishes, pots, etc, living room with a smart TV. The owner is available to answer questions, if needed, with suggestions on how to see the northern lights. Stayed a week and saw the lights! Recommended staying here!
Owner is wonderful and made me feel welcome before I even got there. Great location for the midnight sun run with the end at Pioneer Park. Had all the amenities needed.
Super good stay. So much better than a motel. Pretty much had all the comforts of home . Even had laundry room and a garage! Great place to stay!

Hi Dave,
Glad that you had a great stay! Also, you booked a week which is perfect for upping your odds at catching the Aurora. We are just about at the end of this winters aurora season.....April 21st is considered the last good day, so you slid in at a great time. This falls viewing will begin mid August and will be the peak of the 11 year auroral cycle.
Brian
A cozy space with complete setup for cooking and living. Nice to be in a single unit.
