About this property
*SKI/SNOWMOBILE* ON MOUNTAIN SHORT WALK .25 MILES TO LODGE & LIFTS - BRAND NEW!
Brand new, renovated 2 bedroom, 1 bath walk-in basement apartment.
The master bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom has bunk beds, with a double and a twin. There is a second double in this bedroom
as well. The kitchen area has a new range, and dish washer, as well as a full sized refrigerator, with a freezer. A kitchen island is onsite, with bar stools for seating. The living room area has a 55 inch UHD Roku-ready TV,
and a combination Cassette/CD/FM radio/LP record player. There is a
queen-sized sleeper sofa futon, and chaise lounge for seating comfort.
The bathroom is a single bathroom, with a sink, shower, and tub.
The property is located directly on a snowmobile trail so there is no need to trailer your snowmobiles. Plenty of extra parking for your trailer and vehicles. The driveway is cleared for extra parking and trailer storage.
Skiers have a short walk to the lodge or an extra short drive. Blocks away from lifts!
Pet friendly as well.
The lodge also has a great restaurant and bar to relax after a great day in the snow. Also don't forget this area is known for the best 'powder' snow in the region.
It's almost a guarantee to have fresh powder daily
Keywords: Can sleep 7 comfortably. Total of 2 bedrooms, and 1 bathroom,
with a kitchen and living room area.
There is one fireplace with plenty of free firewood at the start of the season.
Advise: Bring kindling as this seems to be used first. Or another option is to bring a small hatchet.

About the host

My wife and I reside in Florida. Her parents lived in Ironwood for many years. Thus, we purchased Wakaigan in 2000. The property was updated in 2018.
It was remodeled in 2018, and is one of the best rental properties in the area.
This year (2018), a new sofa, chair, and TV, sink, dishwasher, walls, and new
floor were added with renovations and improvements being made to enhance the property. Most past guests love this unit.

Why they chose this property
I grew up as a child camping in the UP and as I became older my 'boys' learned to ski and snowboard. Especially enjoying Indianhead Resort. The boys also loved the advantage of the other nearby ski places, ie; Blackjack, Powderhorn, Whitecap and small but cute Gogebic College's hill. My husband fell in love with it after visiting one time and bought this place as soon as it was available.
We also have a large extended family and having the ability to sleep large groups is a great advantage.
There is so much to do in the area. Many other nearby ski slopes, great snowmobile trails, X-country sking, shopping in little antique and gift stores and great restaurants. The area depends on tourism so the residents are friendly and helpful.
It is an awesome place to 'get away from it all' The small town 'feel' is so nice.
One of the best things is it's very safe and private.
We also love 'snowmobilers' and being on a trail is a huge bonus. We make sure the driveway is plowed extra wide to park the trailers.
