Amazing views! As rustic as you might expect with a cabin that’s 100 years old but with well appointed kitchen and bathrooms. We were fine without A/C and we went in July. Actually very cool at night. We loved everything about this place!
Well-appointed, rustic cabin with spectacular views
The property has unique architectural features that made our stay very enjoyable. The house is a combination of 2 authentic log cabins, with a large stone fireplace, connected to 3 modern bedroom/bathroom suites with king-size beds. The decks on the back of the house feature spectacular views of the Pisgah National Forest north of Asheville, NC.
Beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood! EXCELLENT VIEWS!
The home is very unique with a well stocked kitchen and appliances! The view is unbelievable. Furniture is comfortable and lots of outdoor seating for the amazing views. The owner was very responsive with check-in information. The only suggestion I have is to maybe clean the kitchen and living room rugs, but hey - it's a rental house, I understand. We will be back!
This is a very nice cabin! We enjoyed our stay here. The cabin is spacious with large rooms. The kitchen is fully stocked. Three king bedrooms are great for adult children and their companions. The decor is charming and cozy. The downsides are the lack of A/C, water bugs in lower level, lack of screens in some windows, and flying insects able to get in around others. The firepit was unusable do to the condition of the grounds and there were spider webs in many areas of the decks. I would suggest a full trim of the trees and plants surrounding the cabin and powerwash of the decks, stairs and exterior wood. The gas grill brush and pummace needs to be thrown out and replaced.
Nice secluded cabin. Able to disconnect and relax. Limited cell signal which was great, but did have wifi available. Close to skiing and hiking which was nice. The pictures make it look bigger but still comfortable and big enough for multiple people.
This house was lovely! Anyone that lives in the forest knows that there are some parts you get used to. Spider webs are pretty common, and on occasion bugs come in to get out of the cold or hot. :). The kitchen in this house was a delight. The view was fabulous 💜 and it was well stocked (I forgot the sugar for the coffee!). The stove worked well. The microwave ran many cups of tea and hot chocolate with zero problems. The towels in the bathroom were soft and fuzzy and there were several. I have a cranky back. The beds were super comfy and I had no problems sleeping through the night. The ability to gaze up at the Milky Way was definitely a highlight of the trip.

Dissapointing
neighborhood quite nice. View was the best ever. timbeers were authentic. new gravel on drive. The home is in disrepair. trees growing in gutters. Pans in cabinets were greasy. Windows dirty with dead bugs in them. rugs soiled . No wash cloths in bathrooms. Towels in bathrooms were musty. Significant moldy, musty smells and allergic mold wheezing occured. Several Can lights burned out. mattress cover under sheets was dirty with hair and stains. spider web in many areas, dusty. Broken off knobs on stove. non working and very dirty interior of oven and stove. Microwave had no spinner and had burn marks in it. We were not comfortable using the kitchen.
Nice cabin with nice view, plenty of space, decks, bathrooms, and flexible sleeping arrangements. Very steep unusable yard and dirt driveway off dirt road.
Perfect cozy cabin for a weekend getaway to the mountains. Great views off the back deck and large house that is well equipped. Easy drive to Asheville for day activities.
The drive was worth the beauty.
The only complaint, my friends and I have, was the steep driveway, although it’s drivable and short lived which levels off quickly.
It is worth the experience living in an old 100+ cabin which screams with the great respect to the former owners that labored with blood, sweat and tears.
The charms, that we experienced, are the different levels of balconies, the mountains views which takes your breath away, especially at night where you watch the clouds rolling across the peaks and down through the valley.
Got to include the stream running across the property with it’s trickling sound and deer crossing the yard, but the silence gives your heart rest from the city life, that was a gift.
P.S. Thank you for the opportunity and I hope others will experience greater joy as much as we did.
Thank you,
Pat Nastasi, Kathy Seitz and Jodie Lee.
This was a wonderful home in a beautiful location. The view and amenities were excellent. Everything was as described. Communication with the property manager was bad; emails with questions were never answered (before or after the stay).
Very clean and well stocked. The view was spectacular. The community center had a clean pool and very helpful staff. Already looking forward to staying again!
