Lovely property in stunning location

The house, grounds, pool and location are all lovely, with beautiful views of the lake and mountains. The hosts were friendly, respectful of our privacy and quickly gave help when we needed it. The only problem was that in 38 degree heat there was no air con and inadequate fans, we had to buy better ones in order to enjoy our stay.

Attentive and welcoming owners

Veronica is one of the most welcoming and attentive hosts I have ever encountered. Her family was engaging and informative, and provided support whenever we required it (not often). Terri (husband) cooked pizza's in a special pizza oven for all of the house guest and we all sat around the pool wining, dining and chatting til late into the night. Great recommendation!

Beautiful Priceless Views

We had a lovely stay at the property. A wonderful unique place to stay with the most incredible vistas. The garden was beautiful and pool area too. Charming down to the cute goat and pair of sheep at the back. Many an evening sat on the balcony watching the many moods of the lake and mountains. Behind the property a wood and incredible walks up into the hills behind. Veronique and the family were friendly and helpful - at the same time we had absolute privacy. The village is lovely: quiet and off the beaten track. The beach - 5 minutes away was great! The best one we experienced.

Amazing view in a classically beautiful house

Beautiful classic design house with a fantastic view of the lake below. Great position for local beaches, shopping and dining. You could get around on bikes but a car helps in the heat. Nothing better than sitting in the evening on the balcony taking in the lake view as the sun comes down. The jewel in this house is the pool. Its large and a top class facility and although shared was always empty to use. In the heat of the summer its a welcome way to cool down. The hosts live on site but never seen and very friendly to welcome you and say goodbye. Recommended

Great house in a terrific region of France

This is a spacious country house overlooking the Bourget lake, and the view is simply astonishing. Pros: Where to start... - Can easily accommodate multiple couples and children, since there are two apartments. - House is well-equipped: Kitchen has everything, stove works great, two fridges. Multiple bathrooms, bedding arrangements were comfortable. - If you're not sure about using the pool which is on the owners' side, don't worry. They're totally cool about it. - Zero crime or safety concerns. - Small-but-good supermarket walking distance, massive Carrefour is a 15 minute drive. - Owners: Kind and welcoming. Born-and-raised locals, they know everything, especially about skiing and biking. Aix les Bains & Savoie: Hiking without a drive, biking around Mont Revard, access to the beach and the marina, Chamonix, Annecy and Geneva are all a short drive. The food is spectacular and the Savoyards are very laid-back. Cons: None. Note: This house is slightly on the rustic side and does not have AC, which was fine by us. In June, the windows were permanently open, with a breeze, lovely garden and no adjacent structures. We were very comfortable with the fans in 85F / 27C temps.

Unser Urlaub war einfach toll. Die Wohnung ist schön, sehr geräumig und bietet einen traumhaften Ausblick auf den See. Der Pool ist super und sehr sauber. Die Wohnung eignet sich hervorragend als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge und Wanderungen. Die Gegend ist insgesamt wunderschön, hat einen besonderen Flair und man kann sich sehr gut erholen. Hervorheben möchten wir noch die Gastgeberfamilie. Sie sind alle sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Veronique hat stets ein offenes Ohr und gibt jederzeit gerne Tipps, was man alles in der Gegend unternehmen kann. Bei solchen Gastgebern kann man sich nur wohlfühlen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Wirklich toll gelegene Wohnung mit sehr netten Vermietern. Der Blick auf den See ist überragend. Einziges Manko für uns war, dass nur eine Toilette vorhanden ist. Ansonsten Klasse!

Séjour agréable, une vue magnifique.

Week-end de trois jours avec des membres de ma famille. Très bon acceuil et une grande disponibilité quand cela était nécessaire. La chaumière a du caractère, le confort moderne , un bel équilibre. La vue y est magnifique sur le lac et les montagnes. Merci pour nous avoir accueilli.

Toplocatie aan Lac du Bourget

Prijs/kwaliteit correcte vakantiewoning. Heel mooi landhuis, met prachtig zicht op het meer. Eigenaars zijn heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De inrichting van de woning is wat verouderd, maar zeer net en goed onderhouden. Jammer dat het buitenmeubilair wat beperkt en minder comfortabel is.

Tolle Aussicht, super Pool, schöne Wohnung

Das wichtigste zuerst, die Aussicht auf den Lac du Bourget und die Berge drumherum sind toll. Die Wohnung verfügt über 3 separate 2-Bettzimmer, teilweise mit eigener Dusche. Der Balkon ist toll um dort abends zu sitzen und den Ausblick zu genießen, da kommt ein Gefühl der Entspannung auf. Die Vermieter sind super nett und hilfsbereit. Der Pool war auch wirklich toll, da gibt es nichts negatives zu berichten. Das einzige was man erwähnen könnte, bei dem Veronique etwas verbessern könnte, wären Küchenutensilien. Hier passt fast nichts zusammen, Töpfe, Deckel… Ein paar Kochlöffel und Sossenlöffel und noch ein weiteres Brettchen wären toll. Man kann aber auch mit den vorhandenen Dingen kochen, Wir haben die Woche dort sehr genossen, es war super erholsam und wunderschön.

Nous nous sommes réunis entre amis pour le nouvel an, très bon accueil, la maison est parfaite ainsi que son emplacement (vue sur le lac du Bourget, proximité avec de belles balades / villes, ...). N'hésitez pas !

Vue splendide sur le lac du bourget

La vue sur le lac du Bourget est grandiose, le coin calme, la piscine agréable. Des balades à pied sont accessibles à proximité immédiate de la propriété (ça monte un peu), et le lac est lui aussi accessible à pied. Mon fils ado et sportif a apprécié de pouvoir faire des belles sorties en vélo. Enfin, les propriétaires Thierry et Véronique sont vraiment extra. Je recommande sans hésiter aux amoureux de la nature.

Wonderful hosts and house

The house is a magnificent and large old French country house. The views are absolutely stunning. It was a delight to wake up every morning to those breathtaking mountains and lake. The pool was very nice and very clean. The hosts live on the grounds, but we never felt crowded and Véronique, Thierry and their daughter were extremely helpful and kind. The area is perfect base to explore the surrounding cities like Annecy and Chambery, and even further to Lyon and Geneva. But our favorite day trip was to Chanaz. There isn't much in the local village, but you are only a short distance from a large supermarket in Gresy and plenty of restaurant and life in Aix. The small, lakefront beach in Brison is also fantastic. We spent many days of our two weeks down by the water and enjoyed every second. The only drawback with our stay is that the wifi was very weak. We had to rely on cellular data during our stay for most of the time. But I think that may be par for the course in that area. You don't come to Brison for the internet. But in all other regards, a truly magnificent holiday in a charming old home.
