About this property

MapleDreams - Cozy Ski House w/Hot Tub on Wooded Lot

Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and slip into the serene beauty of the Vermont mountains. MapleDreams is tucked away in a peaceful, private wooded community—close enough to Killington (just 12 miles to the Access Road) to enjoy world-class skiing and adventure, yet far enough to soak in the quiet charm of Vermont’s countryside. Woodstock is an easy drive, and Sugarbush is only 25 miles away, making this the perfect home base for exploring some of the area’s best destinations.

In the summer, wander down the private road for a refreshing dip or peaceful moment along the White or Tweed Rivers—ideal for fishing, tubing, kayaking, or simply unwinding by the water. Hiking and biking trails wind through the surrounding wilderness, and nearby golf courses offer even more ways to enjoy the warm sunshine. Guests also have access to the community recreation area, nestled between the two rivers and featuring two tennis courts.

Set along Scenic Route 100 and bordering the Green Mountain National Forest, MapleDreams offers the classic Vermont retreat: hardwood floors throughout, a soaring cathedral ceiling, and a stunning natural fieldstone fireplace that anchors the cozy living room. After a day on the slopes or exploring the trails, sink into the outdoor 7-person hot tub beneath the stars. In the warmer months, gather on the patio for fireside evenings—roasting marshmallows, sharing stories, and savoring the mountain air.

With 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, this spacious home comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests. If you’re working remotely, the loft’s dedicated workspace provides the privacy and focus you need—paired with high-speed wireless internet to keep you fully connected.

Please note that our wooded hillside setting includes steep roads; all-wheel-drive is strongly recommended, especially in winter.

For added peace of mind, exterior security cameras are installed on the property.

Whether you're seeking adventure, relaxation, or a little of both, MapleDreams invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and experience the magic of the Vermont mountains.

Hi, we’re Thom and Geoff—your hosts at MapleDreams, our cozy getaway tucked into the heart of Vermont. We love sharing this special place with guests, whether you’re here to unwind, explore, or simply enjoy a change of scenery.

We’re both big fans of Vermont’s natural beauty, and you’ll often find us hiking local trails, swimming in nearby rivers and swimming holes, or discovering new spots to enjoy the fresh mountain air. MapleDreams is our little passion project, and we’ve had so much fun making it a warm, comfortable retreat for others to enjoy.

We’re always happy to offer recommendations for hikes, hidden swimming spots, great food, and local experiences. Our goal is to help you feel right at home and make your stay as relaxing and memorable as possible.

We’re so glad you’re here.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this neighborhood because it offers the perfect blend of privacy, nature, and convenience. MapleDreams sits quietly in the woods, giving you the peaceful, secluded feel of a true Vermont retreat—yet you’re never far from anything you might want to explore.

One of our favorite things is that it’s just a short walk to the river, where you can relax, dip your toes in, or enjoy the soothing sound of the water. Surrounded by forest, the property feels wonderfully private, making it easy to unwind and reconnect with nature.

What we enjoy most is how central this location is. If you want to experience everything Killington has to offer—skiing, restaurants, mountain biking, nightlife—it’s just down the road. And if you’re here for outdoor adventure, the Green Mountain National Forest is right around the corner, with endless trails for hiking, exploring, and soaking up Vermont’s beauty.

For us, this neighborhood is the best of all worlds: peaceful when you want quiet, and perfectly situated for adventure when you’re ready to explore. We hope you love it as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

MapleDreams is unique because it offers the best of both worlds: the peaceful seclusion of a cabin in the woods with the comfort and style of a thoughtfully designed retreat. Tucked among the trees, the property feels private and quiet—perfect for unwinding, reconnecting, or simply breathing in the Vermont air.

What really sets MapleDreams apart is the care and personality we’ve put into it. From the cozy touches inside to the calming outdoor spaces, everything has been created with relaxation in mind. Whether you're sipping morning coffee surrounded by forest or winding down after a day of adventure, the space is designed to feel like your very own hideaway.

We also love how central the location is. You can stroll to the river, explore trails just minutes away in the Green Mountain National Forest, or hop over to Killington for skiing, dining, and mountain fun. Guests tell us they love having so many experiences so close—while still returning to a place that feels private and serene.

MapleDreams isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a little escape that offers comfort, nature, and convenience all in one. We hope it feels just as special to you as it does to us.
