Amazing stay and location! Really felt so comfortable and relaxed and the cove and spot is all time! Kids had a blast with the fishing and animals and frogs in the cove….we all loved it and John and Erin were very responsive. Def would love to do it again.
Fantastic property, private and all the amenities ,sunset is spectacular, but you need a boat because it is on an island, for our family it was a non issue.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Mark Island. The home is clean, well-furnished, and views of the lake from all directions while in the house were absolutely amazing. The kids loved fishing and swimming from the dock. The kitchen was well-equipped and had everything you would ever need. The host was responsive, kind, and very helpful. We didn't want to leave! Perfect Lake Winni vacation!
We loved our time here. The pictures don't do it justice. The house is even nicer in person than it appears. The island is easy to get to (assuming you have a boat). The views were unbelievable. We had drinks by the platform watching sunset every night. Our young kids could run around and play without any concerns for their safety. The cove is very protected and was a lot of fun to relax and swim off of the dock. The house was well supplied. And the hosts were fantastic. Day or night, they were available and gave us a ton of suggestions on places to visit and things to do. We had a vacation that helped us create memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. We'll definitely be back again. The only heads up that I will give (which is no fault of the hosts) is that the lake can be a little difficult to navigate if its your first time. This was my first time on the lake and I was a little nervous trying to find my way around. By the end of the week, I got the hang of it, but it took a full week before I got comfortable so make sure that you are confident in your boat driving and navigation skills.
Amazing week in this classic New England camp-style home, freshly renovated with tons of thoughtful touches. Warm and communicative hosts who have thought of virtually everything for a distinctive stay- movie screen and fire pit, kayaks and a paddle boat, lots of gathering places outside to enjoy sunsets, adorable tin pails to collect the profusion of wild blueberries surrounding this very special location on the lake, fully stocked kitchen, lots of board games and books, etc etc. A boat is required- we rented from Winni Marine, a quick 10-15 minute trip. Picked up groceries before getting the boat and also boated midweek to Center Harbor (public docks) to get groceries. Small network of trails on the island were fun to explore. I spent blissful hours on the hammock under the evergreens! The lake is busy on weekends but on a Tuesday morning in peak season we were the only ones on the water to Paugus Bay. Hope we can return.
Stunning house and property. Really fun week with the in-laws. Plenty of room for four adults and our three children. The girls loved playing in the woods amongst moss and blueberries, swimming, and boating around the islands. What an awesome experience.
A great time was had by all, lovely quiet location on Mark Island, beautiful home and sunsets. The kitchen had every utensil, appliance and serving dish needed. We mastered the pizza oven too. Our (2) 16yo girls and (2) 19yo boys loved the armoire full of games, swimming dock, kayaks, outdoor dart board and campfire area. My husband and I enjoyed the great property layout to all gather inside or outside or find a corner for ourselves. John and Erin were quick to answer any questions we had.
Can't wait for next year!
A beautiful oasis. Very clean.A great spot if you truly want to get away and unwind.
We loved our stay and it’s a great place to unwind and relax and take him an incredible view, rain or shine. One issue is that it’s only accessible by boat which was a plus for us but could be a problem for someone who doesn’t know how to drive or have a boring license
