Perched gracefully on the sparkling shores of Lake Tahoe in desirable Carnelian Bay, Carnelian Haus is a refined lakefront retreat that blends the serenity of mountain living with the elegance of modern design. This five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath home was created for gathering, relaxation, and the pure enjoyment of Tahoe’s natural beauty, offering an idyllic escape for up to twelve guests. From the moment you arrive, the sense of privacy and tranquility is undeniable. Towering pines frame the home, and the lake stretches endlessly before you, inviting you into a setting where every detail has been thoughtfully composed for comfort and style.
Inside, soaring trusses and vaulted ceilings set an impressive tone, while floor-to-ceiling windows capture sweeping lake views from nearly every room. The open-concept layout allows the great room, dining area, and gourmet kitchen to flow seamlessly together, making entertaining effortless. Multi-slide doors extend the living space outdoors, erasing the boundary between inside and out and filling the home with light and fresh mountain air. Whether gathered around the stone fireplace in winter or savoring a summer meal with the lake as your backdrop, this is a home designed to enhance every season.
The kitchen is a dream for culinary enthusiasts, with high-end appliances, generous workspace, and an oversized island where family and friends naturally gather. In the evenings, linger at the dining table as twilight falls across the lake, or step outside to enjoy dinner under the stars, surrounded by the soft sound of lapping waves.
Each of the five bedrooms has been designed as a private sanctuary, with serene décor, plush linens, and calming palettes that encourage rest and renewal. Several suites boast unobstructed lake views, allowing you to wake to Tahoe’s changing colors, misty blues in the morning, golden light in the evening, and the glitter of moonlight across the water at night. With ample accommodations for twelve, this home is ideal for multi-generational families, groups of friends, or anyone seeking both togetherness and privacy.
Outdoors, Carnelian Haus unfolds as a true lakefront paradise. Expansive decks and stone terraces offer spaces for lounging, grilling, and dining al fresco. A private pier connects you directly to Lake Tahoe, where mornings might begin with a paddleboard session, afternoons with boating adventures, and evenings with nothing more than dipping your toes in the crystal-clear water. From sun-drenched afternoons on the deck to cozy evenings gathered by a lakeside fire, every moment here is framed by the unmatched beauty of Tahoe’s shoreline.
What makes Carnelian Haus truly special is its balance of luxury and warmth. While every finish has been carefully chosen to create a sense of sophistication, rich woods, natural stone, thoughtful lighting, the home never feels untouchable. Instead, it invites relaxation, connection, and the kind of effortless comfort that makes time slow down.
Whether you’re seeking an active getaway filled with boating, hiking, and mountain adventures, or a restorative retreat defined by quiet mornings and starlit nights, Carnelian Haus offers the perfect canvas. This is more than just a vacation rental, it is a front-row seat to the magic of Lake Tahoe, a place where lasting memories are made, and where the beauty of the lake becomes part of your every day.

County Rules
Each county requires we inform you of the rules and regulations relevant to your home's Short Term Rental Permit. We thank you in advance for abiding by the rules below, also included in your signed in the Vacation Rental Agreement.
Maximum Occupancy: There shall be no gatherings, events, weddings or other group functions on the Premises with more people than the number of persons stated on the Agreement.
Parking: Parking on the street is prohibited at all times. All cars, boats, and trailers must be parked in the garage and/or driveway.
Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are 9pm-8am, seven days a week, Noise carries easier and further in higher elevations and over water. Per the ordinance: No sound from the vacation rental home shall be audible from the parcel line during this time. Noise shall be minimized in order that it not be an unreasonable annoyance, disturbance or nuisance to neighbors.
Lights Out: All exterior lights that are not needed for safety must be turned off between the hours of 10pm-7am, seven days a week. Per the Ordinance: All exterior lights must be turned off that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors.
Red Flag Warnings: Due to extreme fire danger, bonfires, charcoal barbecues and wood-burning fire pits are strictly prohibited. On Red Flag Warning Days, when fire hazards are especially dangerous, typically due to dry conditions and high winds, additional restrictions are imposed by the North Tahoe Fire Protection District and prohibited. You cannot use outdoor gas grills or gas fire pits during Red Flag Warnings. All outdoor fires are prohibited, both gas and wood. It is your responsibility to be informed of Red Flag Warnings. You will see signs on the front of all fire district stations, hear about it on the news, see it on social media and hear about it on the radio.
Winter Driving
Many highways, access roads and/or driveways are steep in Tahoe/Truckee and may be icy in the winter. To ensure your safety, it is critical that during November 1st - April 30th brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle. Make sure the chains are the proper size for your tires and are in working order. You may find valuable winter driving tips from the CHP here: https://bit.ly/3IKiY7n
Summer Patio Furniture
Patio furniture is available for your use during summer months only. All outdoor tables, chairs and loungers are put into storage in the fall, in order to protect the furnishings from winter weather. Barbecue grills, however, do remain outside for your enjoyment.
Black bears are very common in this area and have become habituated to human food and garbage. Because bears no longer have a strong fear of humans, you may encounter bears during your spring, summer and fall stays. Feeding bears is illegal. Leaving food outside, trash accessible, or doors and windows unlocked is likely to cause significant property damage to homes and to vehicles. Please take a moment to learn how to be Bear Aware, so that we can continue to live in harmony with our wildlife.
