LeShan, As a property owner and long-time Short term rental host, we found it very unnerving when we did our due diligence. We always research our guests and found you were subletting our home and advertising it for a yoga Retreat, charging 500-900.00 per night per bed to people wanting to come in and participate in your retreat. You advertised your event on a public social media platform. No one was stalking you, we were doing our due diligence to make sure that we knew who was renting our home. Nowhere in your booking request did you mention you would be hosting a retreat and renting the rooms individually. We make it clear in our rules that we do not allow events or parties of any kind and even asked before approval if you were hosting an event. You did not mention it. Subletting of any kind is against VRBO community standards. We let you stay so you could avoid further embarrassment and have to refund your participants. Which was more than generous as you broke our house rules and VRBO guidelines with subletting. I hope you have learned to be clear and forthcoming with your plans when renting a space to avoid situations like this in the future.
