The facility was beautiful! A few things that kept me from putting 5 stars:It is extremely slick outside of the back door from the moss - my husband took two steps out of the door & fell on his right side injuring his ankle, shoulder ( which he just had surgery on in December. No warning about locking the car doors to keep the bear out.Not enough or bright lights to see outside after dark. The flood light towards the cars went out.I tried to email the company & called them but never heard back.
Overall, very good. However, the bunk bed fell off the slats and dumped my friend out. We never figured out the thermostat. Fortunately, the maintenance man saved the day inboth instances
House was clean and orderly as advertised. Enjoyed the arcade and pool in the evenings. Location was great as a base for exploring the Smoky Mountains and convenient to the activities in Gatlinburg. Would definitely stay there again.
Communication was prompt and helpful, the house was spacious, clean and nicely updated. Quiet street, can use back roads to reduce getting stuck in traffic heading to PF.
The house was beautiful! Very spacious and clean. Also very close to downtown Gatlinburg a few minutes. Our family of 5 had plenty of room and really enjoyed our time. I would have like the bedding in bedrooms to have been comfier and warmer. And the kitchen was not very well stocked with supplies…needed a pair of scissors… but we got by just fine. Would absolutely rent again!
We had a great time the place was the perfect size for my family.
The kids loved the bunk beds and the game room , and I got spoiled on the ice maker lol. My hubby loved the grill 😁. We all enjoyed the hot tub. The only negative thing I would have to say is they needed steps for the hot tub, I did tell them about it so hopefully they will have them for the next guests. 😁 Thank you for letting us stay in your house and make wonderful memories. God bless. ❤️
Nice place to stay for a decent price. Only cons would be the wifi didn't work very well, and we couldn't get the t.v in the master bedroom or the queen bedroom to play any of the stuff on there. We ended up having to link my phone to the t.v. and watch Netflix, etc that way. If you dont care to drive 10 mins to downtown Gatlinburg or 15 mins to Pigeon Forge, i recommend this cabin as a place to stay. All in all, we loved it and would definitely stay again!!
My family plus 3 extra teens in tow stayed at Hidden Memories for a volleyball tournament. The location was perfect to Rocky Top Sports Complex as well as downtown Gatlinburg yet quiet and peaceful away from all the madness. The layout of the house was great! Our 4 players loved the bunk room and enjoyed the game room. My older daughter loved having a room to herself.
If I had to pick a critique of this property it would be that the hottub was set to 80° when we arrived. It would have been nice to soak in hot water after a 7 hour drive to get there. We turned it up and it was hot by the next evening though.
The property was very clean. We loved the game room. We thought it was closer to gatlinburg than it was. My major hold up was the communication. We knew bad weather was coming. It took us 7 hours to make a 3 hour drive. When asked if we could change our dates, they would not consider it. We had trip insurance. I feel like that was a waste of our money.
We loved this property. Perfect central location to do grotto falls, and Laurel Falls and downtown Gatlinburg. We did a quick drive to Pigeon Forge, too.
But we loved that the property had a full kitchen so we could pack meals on the go for sightseeing but have dinners "at home" for our young kids (ages 2-10.)
Speaking of young kids--- they loved the air hockey and arcade game.
But just be aware, there is a bear that likes to check out the grill. So clean up promptly and not "after dinner." We grilled hamburgers one night, and saw it visit right there while we ate inside. And watched another morning as it visited the grill even when we hadn't used it.
Only thing we would have loved --- a list of what was at the cabin ahead of time. There were mixing bowls and a can opener, etc, but we had brought some things from home being uncertain if they would be supplied (measuring cups being one of them.)
We loved our time at Hidden Memories! The house has plenty of room to spread out and keep everyone busy during our time there with pool table, a classic arcade machine, air hockey and smart TVs in every room. The hot tub was awesome and enjoyed by everyone in our family. The three bedrooms fit our family of seven comfortably.
We enjoyed all sorts of activities nearby and made use of some of the discounts provided by the rental agency. The location is outside of town but has good access to the main roads around Gatlinburg.
Kitchen had only the bare essentials but this was explained in the welcome material. Could have used a few dish rags to clean up and there was just enough silverware and plates and bowls for one meal so we were constantly running the dishwasher but it worked out OK.
Definitely recommend this property and others managed by Bear Cabin Rentals.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
Beware
This is far from a chalet. Just a regular house trying to price gouge because of the area it is in. Hot tub wasnt cleaned like they claimed it would be. Very dirty upon arrival and had a leak which they did get fixed but was too late to use it by the time that happened. We had to fill it up ourselves as well. Then the microwave shorted and couldn't use that due to fire hazard. Bunk beds are not safe. Should secure the top bunk better. Kids got many splinters from bunk beds. The mattresses were very uncomfortable. Had to buy wd40 ourselves because every door in the house creaked. Doorknob handle fell off front door. Water pressure and temperature was not great either. Outside had beer cans and trash beside hot tub. Did not look like place had been vacuumed either. We come to the Smokies every year and this was by far the worst rental we have ever done and I normally don't leave reviews. I would not recommend if you have a family and plan on actually using the place. We should send a bill for all of the things my husband had to fix and repair. You're welcome.
