Stayed only one night while playing roller derby in Traverse City. My teammates and I found the location beautiful and at least one person might try to return with friends later in the season.
Beautiful setting, comfortable and inviting. Loved all the amenities, fire pit, kayaks and dock. Great location to visit Sleeping Bear National Park, Traverse City and all the wineries. Definitely recommend if visiting the area.
Great place! If you’re looking for a quiet relaxing place. You will have here on Lake Ann. Convenient to all Amenities, hiking fishing. Short drive to Traverse City, Leland, Emipire, and other towns . Mostly within a 20 to 30 mile radius. Highly recommend this hone on the lake
Great location with ample parking. Low key neighborhood for a great, restful trip. Fishing boat and kayaks are a plus! Nicely landscaped including a beautiful firepit on water's edge.
The only downside is the clocks run faster here and our reservation came to an end much too quickly!
We only stayed for a few days, but is was a relaxing tranquil stay....just what we needed. We greatly enjoyed the location of the property, being quietly secluded yet within walking distance to the village. Lake Ann is right in the middle of it all, and this is why we chose this property and we were not disappointed. It was easy traveling to Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes, amongst many other wonderful things to do in the area. The grand kids enjoyed swimming in the lake and the kayaks. A great time was had by all.
Lovely area & property served our purposes for a weekend getaway close to Frankfort & Betsy valley bike trail. Fire pit area is lovely as is the view of lake & passing boats. The property itself is a bit dated as is apparent in listing pics. Beds are fairly comfortable although soft; bunk room is very dark & holds washer/dryer; living room furniture obviously well used, sofas slipcovered but seemed clean. Outside, including windows, screens and sliding doors could benefit from a power washer or blower to clear away bugs/cobwebs. Kitchen is adequate, very small main bath & (bring your own soap -no shower gel or bath soap provided), plenty of towels. Half bath is very small, no counter space or shelf, the closet holds the mechanical equip whose is exposed since closet door does not close (blocked by the hot water heater). Lake Ann brewery & stone oven pizza are nearby & very busy. Plan ahead for dinner - we had a 1:15 hour wait on Friday & 2-hour wait Saturday @ 6 pm for carry out.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
Not Clean - Nice view - No Locks sliding doors
Pros: Nice View, nice washer/dryer, good heater
Cons: floor was filthy with dirt and dog hair; furniture was filthy; cob webs hanging everywhere on the exterior; sliding glass doors had NO LOCKS and the tracks were so dirty they were very hard to open and close; blinds were broken on right side; BBQ grill was filthy with old caked on food; shower very tiny, shower curtain was slimy, and rod and hooks rusted; bathroom door did not close. I expected better. . Plus we paid for cleaning.

Sorry you were unhappy with your stay and cleaniness. Wish you would have contacted as we would have worked to rectify the situation. We pride ourselves and making sure guests enjoy their stay and have a place that is clean for them to enjoy.
My husband and I spent a week with our son and daughter-in-law.
We’ll start with the positive. When you step into the property you immediately see the panoramic view of the lake. The view is absolutely beautiful. We stayed the first week of October. We requested that the host make the rowboat and kayaks available, as the weather forecast was supposed to be warm. He did have these available for us to use, however the weather wasn’t quite warm enough.
We enjoyed sitting around the bonfire in the evenings, making s’mores. That was a wonderful way to end our day.
This property has three bedrooms. One bedroom was a decent size. It had a dresser and two nightstands. We believe the bed is queen size. Many pillows were provided, however we brought our own. There was also a closet.
The second bedroom we believe had a double size bed. There was a dresser, however there was no room for nightstands. There was no closet in the second bedroom.
The third bedroom had bunkbeds, which we did not use. The stackable washer and dryer was located in the third bedroom. We did use these several times during our stay.
The full-size bathroom looks like it had recently been renovated. The handheld shower leaked pretty bad. I was unable to reach the host using the VRBO website, therefore I called the telephone number provided for him. I left a message that my son would be more than happy to purchase a new showerhead and install it. The host never responded to my message. One set of towels - the bath towel, the hand towel, and the washcloth was fairly new - nice and fluffy. LlThe rest of the towels and wash cloths were quite old. It was probably time to replace them.
The kitchen had plenty of cupboard space, and a lot of counter space. There was a nice set of dishes that was provided. Assorted mixing bowls, a set of cookie sheets, an adequate variety of kitchen utensils were provided. An electric hand mixer or blender was not provided.
We brought all of the ingredients to bake a pie to celebrate my son‘s birthday. The outside of the stove and oven were very clean. When I opened the oven door I was so shocked to see how filthy it was on the inside. You can tell that it had not been cleaned in quite some time.
The refrigerator appeared to be new. It was very clean.
The living/great room was very comfortable and cozy.
Overall we do recommend this place. You just can’t beat the view of the lake. There were some days when the lake was very calm, as smooth as glass.
Lake Ann is a quite lake just big enough for water sports and great fishing! The place is right on the lake with a nice fire pit. I love the view of the lake from inside. Basic cabin without any frills, but you don't need them at the lake. One thing I might add is the kitchen could be a little more stocked since this is not typically a place you will go out to eat all the time, lots of cooking. (better cooking utensils that aren't super flexible plastic, wine glasses, tupperwear containers, etc.) The only other thing I would add is there NEED's to be a Roku or something that allows for streaming services on the TV. Right now it's only cable. I realize we are at the lake, but many people are staying here for weeks at a time and that involves relaxing movies at night! Neither of these things are enough to take away a star, though, great place!
We had a great time. Very relaxing property right on the lake. We enjoyed the 2 person Kayaks and used the row boat to go fishing. We even fished right off the dock. My kids enjoyed swimming and even our dog had a great time. It's only 15 minutes from Travers City for food and shopping.
