Up North perfection on South Lake Leelanau. The perfect home base or quiet retreat. Watch the sunset from the patio, shared gazebo, beach, or lakeside firepit. Private, regularly groomed beachfront. Lake Leelanau boat launch 1 mile south of cottage for great days on the water exploring the lakeside restaurants, winery, docking in Leland or enjoying a dip or tubing. Boat/trailer parking available on property for easy in, easy out. 20 minutes to Traverse City, Suttons Bay or Leland. 30 Minutes to Traverse City Horse shows. Just a few miles off the Tart Trail. Two bedrooms, one bath. Freshly remodeled, full size refrigerator, indoor and outdoor dining and beachfront picnic table. Beachfront is 50 feet away with uninterrupted views to the water. Sleeps 4 comfortably.

New for 2026, all cottage linens provided! Be sure to bring your beach towels! Guests to supply paper products. Beds and pillows all incased. Mini-split heating and cooling for year round comfort. Seasonal cross country skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, biking, and swimming available near the property. Several boat rental companies in area. 30 Minutes to Flint Fields Horse Park

4 acres shared West Wind Resort property. Large patio and two parking spots as well as boat trailer parking. Renter owned (no rental craft permitted) boats under 20 feet may utilize Slot 1 in the marina. The cottage is geared toward adults and not appropriate for children under 13. My husband grew up on Lake Leelanau at his grandparents cottage on the South Lake. We started bringing our children up when they were 4 and 1 and now they are sailing the lake on their own. Blessed to acquire our own personal piece of heaven and make it our own in 2020. Its our pleasure to share it with you when we are not enjoying it ourselves!

Why they chose this property

One of the first cottages we rented was in the West Wind Resort and we loved the convenience to everything we like to do. Its the perfect size to have and still be able to enjoy yourself. Great home base, and quiet location.

What makes this property unique

This is our personal cottage, not just a rental property. All the things you would need for yourself or older children are available for your use. Dishes, outdoor furniture, coffee maker, etc. We only ask that if supplies are used that they be replaced. If items are broken or damaged let us know ASAP. We want you to be comfortable and look forward to establishing return guests.
