Normandy Beaches

Enjoyed our stay and well placed for the Normandy museums. Parking a little tricky when we arrived as another car parked in the drive due to people staying in the cottage, so couldn’t get into the back yard. Good facilities and comfortable.

Week end à Aure sur Mer

Maison très au calme, confortable et grande avec un sympathique extérieur. Bien équipée. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié. Seule chose à savoir, il faut prendre la voiture pour aller à la boulangerie mais nous avions étudié la carte et il y a tous les commerces à Port en Bessin.Et le séjour est parfaitement organisé. Nous recommandons la location.

Hübsches, wunderbar ruhig gelegenes Ferienhaus in kurzer Entfernung zu den Landungsstränden

Wir haben mit vier Erwachsenen und einem Hund 10 Tage in diesem schönen Ferienhaus verbracht. Das Haus ist wunderbar ruhig gelegen, in unmittelbarer Nähe zu Omaha-Beach (ca 10 Min. mit dem Auto). Der Standort ist ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Besichtigungen und Erkundungen der Ereignisse rund um den D-Day. Wir waren zwischen Sainte-Mère-Église mit Utah-Beach und Arromanches-les-Bains mit den Überresten der Landungshäfen unterwegs. Das Haus selbst bietet Platz für bis zu 8 Personen. Die Räume sind auf zwei Etagen verteilt. Unten befindet sich das Wohn-/Esszimmer, die Küche und eine Toilette. In der oberen Etage liegen vier Schlafräume mit je zwei Schlafplätzen, ein Bad mit Badewanne und Toilette und eine separate Dusche mit Waschbecken. Zwei der Zimmer sind mit Waschbecken ausgestattet. Die Zimmer sind hübsch und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Einfahrt sollte eigentlich Platz für zwei Autos bieten, das trifft wohl eher auf kleine (!) Autos zu. Wir haben dann kurzer Hand im Innenhof, vor der Küche geparkt, ging auch. Bei unserer Ankunft war alles prima vorbereitet, Bettwäsche und Handtücher wurden gestellt und sogar ein Begrüßungsgeschenk hat uns erwartet. Die Küche ist ausreichend ausgestattet mit genügend Geschirr, Toaster, Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher und genügend Töpfen. Lediglich Besteck könnte etwas mehr vorhanden sein. Und der Backofen braucht über eine Stunde, um die gewünschte Temperatur zu erreichen. Etwas Backen oder einen Auflauf zubereiten benötigt also deutlich mehr Zeit, als normal. Funktioniert aber. Leider hatten wir anfangs Probleme mit der Warmwasserbereitung. Diese hat nicht funktioniert. Nach der Kontaktaufnahme mit der Vermieterin hat diese sich aber wunderbar gekümmert und dafür gesorgt, dass das Problem schnell behoben wurde. Zudem bekamen wir für diese Unannehmlichkeit einen Teil unseres Reisebetrages erstattet. Vielen Dank an Anne für das reibungslose und schnelle Kümmern. Leider konnten wir kein französisch, aber die Klärung hat mit englisch auch sehr gut geklappt. Trotz des Malheurs mir der Heizung haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Sowohl das Haus, als auch die Gegend sind wunderbar und wir können beides wärmstens empfehlen. Liebe Grüße an Anne und Ihre Nichte🤗

Lovely and Restful

Although I was sick, while everyone ventured out, this was the ideal place to get rest. With all the windows open, I listened to the birds all day singing their song, watched the flowers, and soaked in the countryside quiet. Just lovely.

La Normandie à son meilleur.

Nous avons apprécié une bonne pause dans cette maison bien équipée, le temps était un peu décevant, mais la maison est suffisamment spacieuse pour passer le temps à l'intérieur. Le contact avec le gardien et le propriétaire était toujours de mise. Les voisins sont proches, mais offrent toujours suffisamment d'intimité, nous avons passé une bonne soirée avec nos voisins.

Perfect gelegen!

Wij zijn met 7 (volwassenen met kinderen) een weekje hier gaan logeren. Heel vriendelijke en behulpzame dame. Huisje was perfect gelegen voor de naar omaha beach, Amerikaans kerkhof, etc... naartoe te rijden. Ook de haven was kortbij en zeker een aanrader voor een hapje te eten of terrasjes te doen! Wij hebben een leuke en aangename vakantie gehad!
