Loved the converted barn- perfect spot for our mountain getaway! Very comfortable and cozy with the fireplace and fun game room. Loved the pastoral setting- very nice owners!
It was a great experience and a cool setting to have have drinks and talk. We didn't even cut on one TV the whole time. This is a awesome place to get away.
Really cool place. Great property and convenient to Asheville and surrounding area. Outstanding recommendation from the host, Dupont Forest is a must see while the other 1/2 of our party went to Biltmore. And, yes Max is pretty cool too! Had a great visit. Plenty of room, but read the details on the bedrooms.
Thia property does not disappoint. From the dog Max greeting you when you arrive, to every morning at your door, to him helping you along your hikes this dog is so much fun. The landscape is breathtaking and the kids had so much fun in the creek. Close to wonderful scenic drive and to downtown Asheville for some exploring. The hosts are amazing and very friendly, we had an amazing time.
We couldn’t imagine a better host than Max the dog! He greeted us at our cars when we arrived and guided us wherever we went on the property, whether it was just for a quick stroll to see the horses or a hike through the wooded trails. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit at night where he would check in on us during his patrols. After coming back from a day out on the town he was always waiting to greet us and receive some belly rubs. Beautiful secluded property and home, highly recommend!

Beautiful setting and unique home!
We really enjoyed our time at this eclectic cabin! The antiques were interesting to look through and the furnishings were incredible. The cabin itself sits on a beautiful farm with horses, wild turkey, deer, and two sweet dogs. It was a great location and relatively close to Asheville. The main drawback would be the very small bedrooms and bathrooms - some people in our group could not get past it and were ready to go by the end of our stay (I guess it depends on what sort of traveler you are!). Overall, it was a memorable, fun stay and I feel fortunate that we were able to stay in such a unique place. The hike around the property is lovely and the owners are great!

Great place to spend a holiday.
What a great place to spend our Thanksgiving!! So much to do to keep four teenagers entertained and off electronics. Between the pool table, beer pong (water) table, and other games as well as spending time outside feeding the horses and watching the longhorns they were happy. We spent one evening by the fire pit roasting hotdogs and s’mores. The other end of the house was great for me, my husband and two adult daughters. Plenty of space for all. The teens asked me to book again, while we were still there. Everyone we came in contact with on the ranch was so accommodating, and gracious host. Pebbles was the best host to let us stay in her fabulous “doghouse “. She spent several nights with us, and we really miss her. This is one place we can’t wait to get back to. Thanks Melody, your husband and entire staff!!
The place was great, plenty of room inside with a lot to do and great fire pit outside.
The internet stopped working the 1st day we were there and there was no cell service so we could not communicate with anyone else who was traveling the next day. I tried to call the host but without internet or cell there was no way to contact them. Even when we were out doing things where i did have service and tried to call no one answered. It came back on the 2nd day in the afternoon but the signal was weak. We could not watch TV or stream music so we just listed to music that had already been downloaded.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
August 17-20, 2023
We enjoyed the house, and the location. The title page says 4 bedrooms, and the filter to find houses with 4 bedrooms was the way we found the house. However, the house only has 3 bedrooms. When I reached out to the host, they informed me that "the listing shows the house only having 3 bedrooms." When I went back to check, it was in the details, but not on the main page (which is how the filter works). As a group of friends, we still enjoyed our time together. But the inaccuracy of the listing caused unnecessary headaches that detracted from our trip, and the host's curt response without acknowledging the error got our trip started in a negative light. If the main page of the listing had been correct, we would have moved on to another house that suited our needs.

Very beautiful house in rural Asheville.
This place is absolutely gorgeous and so pristine. Beds were super comfortable. Kitchen very adequately stocked. Really a lovely place to stay with tons of seating in different areas and in such a beautiful setting with fields and horses. We were very happy with the location and design of the building.
We were extremely disappointed on arrival to find a handwritten note that the hot tub wouldn't be working during our stay. This is something that I should have been notified about prior to arrival. Instead, during our trip, I had to make an attempt to contact the host through the website and then via phone due to no response on the site. After contacting her, she was apologetic and returned us $100 for the inconvenience. Seeing as how we paid over $1000 for the place it was quite likely the least she could do. I am mostly unhappy with the lack of communication and effort in fixing it prior to our arrival.

We had 3 repair people out trying to repair jacuzzi. As it turned out to be a major part that had to be repaired and ordered this was totally out of our control till the part came in.Since this was a 2 night stay on the weekend we could not get part in. After 1000.00 expense and being down for a week the jacuzzi is up and working great. We apologize for any inconvenience and gave a refund for jacuzzi not working. We also have a beautiful home with all the amenities and try our best to make sure every renter we have feels at home and enjoys there stay.Every now and then there are things that go wrong that are out of our control.just like when the power or cable go off at any ones house you are at the mercy of the repair person or part to fix.
We do take pride in our home and strive to make it a wonderful stay for our renters

Beautiful property. Needs some attention to details
While this is a beautiful property
With an equally beautiful vista, there are definitely some details that need immediate attention. Yes, the owners have done a good job in the kitchen. However, it is so dark and the lighting so poor that I had to buy a lamp
At goodwill to see how to cook. Fully stocked? For a colander, I used the top of a double boiler. Never did find an oven mitt. The first morning we were there we discovered we had no gas to turn on the burner. A pretty major detail that should have been attended to before we got there. Speaking of gas, we never did get the gas logs or the grills to work. Worst of all, we went without power for two
Straight nights. While I understand the owner could not help that, it would have been very nice to have a
Flashlight available to see how to get around. She obviously didn't care because when we called to ask about a flashlight her response was "there should be one or two in a drawer" There weren't. Thank heavens I had packed a few candles and matches. The second night the power was out for six hours. As for new plush mattresses, not exactly. Pillows were flat and only the king mattress was decent. Living room furniture was comfortable but the toss pillows were so stained, we just threw them off. It would take so little effort to
Get this house in really good shape. Hope the owner pays you more attention then she did us. As a matter of fact, this weeks experience has turned me off vrbo.

As soon as i was notified about gas for stove i personally made sure it was taken care of asap. The gas logs are listed as turned on from oct thru april. Our temps last week were 85 degrees i dont think gas logs were a necessity since the air condition was running the entire stay. The air condition was left running with the windows open. One of our antique doors were also broken.
The power which is out of our control was off for 1 hour the first night and the second night during a severe storm,2 inches of rain and heavy winds was off for 6 hours. There were 1500 people without power and im sure the power company worked as fast as they could in a horrific storm to get power back on.I was called at 11:00 pm about a flashlight which i was also in the dark and did not have a flashlight.
I dont think the lack of a colander makes our kitchen not fully stocked. When we were doing clean up on unit after renter checked out we did have colander in the cabinet guess you didn't look..
When this renter left they left one of our outside dogs inside locked in the house.i missed him coming to eat got to looking for him and they left him inside house with no food or water.Thankfully i found him quickly and he was fine.
Im very sorry the renters felt they had such a bad experience but we have never had complaints on any of these issues before and if there were any issues we would address them.Out of 26 reviews we have had 22 5 stars reviews and 4 4 star reviews so i dont think this many reviews could be wrong about our rental. We take pride in our home and have went out of our way to put nice furnishings, antiques, and many amenities for people to enjoy as most that have stayed with us have enjoyed everything.A resort might be a better choice than vrbo for a very few.VRBO is a great choice for most.
Wanted something modern to accommodate three couples - found this tucked away in the outskirts of Asheville. Owners home is next door and in-view - there are horses, fields, a donkey, deer, and most importantly - Max - the friendliest escort dog we've ever met. He hiked with us on the trail around the property and enjoyed hanging with us on the back porch and by the fire pit at night. Very close to downtown A'ville and all the breweries like Highland and Sierra Nevada. Short drives in any direction depending on what you are there to do. Fully furnished game room with pool table and updated kitchen with all appliances. Highly recommended for large groups! Even had scores of books to read! Only recommendation might be to upgrade to king size beds in all bedrooms but that's only a personal preference. A+!
This property exceeded all expectations! Plenty big to fit and entertain a large group with so much cool and functional decor! It was well-stocked and the host was very responsive. The ranch dog and miniature donkey were the icing on the cake! Overall a beautiful property and great stay! Highly recommend!
Very nice and was secluded. Everyone was very nice. Love the baby donkey and the dog Max. Nice quite place to stay. Close to Asheville to the brewery only 20 minute drive.
The property was spectacular and better than the pictures. The game room with antique games added even more charm than I could imagine. We fell in love with Max, the dog. He was always there when we needed him. Luckily, we had a beautiful day so we were able to walk around the trails on the property and got a great workout.
I wish the house guide/manual had more guidance on the location for light switches/how to turn things on and one outdoor lightbulb in a sconce was burnt out so we just used a flashlight (which they provided!)
I'm sending this house to my friends who want amazing mountain house getaways!
Great experience. Clean, beautiful property. Only thing I would note, there didn't appear to be any coffee, and the provided hair dryer didn't work.
Stayed here before and would definitely stay here again.
