The cottage was great. Nicely appointed kitchen and clean throughout. We enjoyed the books about the history of the area and this was a great launching point for all our hiking. Highly recommend.
Super cozy little house. Bathroom is downstairs so folks with mobility issues may need to make sure they can navigate the steps. The fine details such as decor, board games, interesting books, and even the record player made our stay much more comfortable and memorable. There is a child safety gate available that was helpful keeping our very elderly dog off the steps and safe which meant a lot to me. Overall fantastic property and we will consider staying here if we ever return in the future.
We enjoyed our short stay in the mountains. Home is interesting with the history on the walls. Kitchen is well stocked. Beds were comfortable and clean. Unfortunately it rained so we weren't able to use the good size deck or the grass area but these looked great for a sunny day. We would definitely return if in the area again. The local Mexican restaurant is really good too
We loved this little cottage and I especially appreciate all of the historical pictures and letters, etc they had throughout the home. House is very well maintained and we would most definitely stay here again. Wonderful hosts too that were very responsive!!
We loved the cabin and the views that came with it. It was very clean with just the right amount amenities to entertain us when we came back to the cabin to relax
This lovely little home is cozy, comfortable, and charming! And it "feels" good...for me, it was like being in my beloved grandmother's home!Thank you for providing all the necessities and extras for a thoroughly enjoyabe getaway!
A family member had a place on the lake. This delightful house was a perfect satellite location. Very clean and well-stocked with a modern kitchen and great porches. Plus, we loved the old family photos.
We stayed for a quick weekend with our 2 dogs and had a wonderful stay. This property was a 10 minute drive from the Greystone Inn, where our friends got married, and about 15-20 min from Gorge State Park where we did the Rainbow Falls Trail, and had a blast!
House was very nice, loved the authenticity of property. I would say they definitely need to do something with the driveway-dangerous the way it is now.
Love the pet friendly home! Close to our relatives. We will come back!

We loved everything! Nice and quiet area. No one bothered us. Very clean and well prepared house, and perfect for a family. We had a wonderful time there. Thank you :)
Amazing! Even though my hosts were on vacation themselves they stayed in regular contact. These folks become friends on our first visit last fall and I can't say enough good things about the house and about their hospitality. Lovely visit
Cozy, clean, and historical home in a beautiful mountainous area of NC.
This was a happy last min booking for my family and I. The home was Super clean, dog friendly, and well done with all the amenities any family would need. Easy check in and out. We appreciated the snacks and the generations of history on the walls. My dogs really enjoyed huge back yard!

Thank you so much, y'all were great and certainly welcome back any time!
We thorughly enjoyed our stay at this cozy, historic mountain hideaway. We were 15 minutes away from Cold Mountain Trailhead at Panthertown, 15 minutes away from Tannassee Lake, and a only 22 minutes away from our Wolf Lake. We will be back in October. We can't wait to be back.
This home with so much family history was great for a three generations girls trip. We came up to see snow and let my daughter go skiing for the first time. It was a great location to where we were skiing (in Sapphire Valley). The surrounding area was lovely. The hosts couldn’t be nicer. Overall, we had a trip that we will always remember!
