The rainforest Hideout is nestled deep in the Ellicott Wilderness on a small private lake. This 3/2 house is on a gravel road, it’s very quiet so you can enjoy the peace of nature, the breeze rustling in the trees all around, or the rain on the tin roof. There are many miles of trails nearby and the Chattooga River has world-class fly fishing. Highlands and Cashiers has great shops and restaurants— just a scenic drive away. My family including my 13 year old daughter and 9 year old son and wife stayed for a week at this beautiful, secluded, and relaxing home. We enjoyed the cool mornings and convenient location to area hikes, waterfalls, and nice mountain towns. It is a little bit off the beaten path but is nice change forThe rat race of the day to day life. The small lake is nice out front but unfortunately you’re not allowed to fish it. That was the only small disappointment.
