It was a nice property. The view of the river was spectacular. Overall was a great place to enjoy the natural beauty! Host was easy to talk to and always quick to respond.
Perfect Easter retreat with two of our college kids and one high school senior. The river access is perfect! We brought cornhole and spent most of our time outside enjoying the views & sounds of nature. The kitchen was clean and well stocked. Gwen went above & beyond leaving us some treats!! They took advantage of the space with adding multiple beds. Little things like good water pressure and hot water add to the ease of this place. Any issues we encountered were handled quickly & sincerely by Gwen. It was a lovely getaway from the hustle & bustle of everyday life.

Scary dirty!
We did get to the property late at night, they had no marking to actually know which gate was theirs, not even a numbered address. We got in and after checking the beds for spiders and scorpions (we normally bring we are from the country) we realized all the beds were dirty. Like slept in before us. There was dirt at the ends of each bed where people’s feet go and sheets looked used. So I stayed up all night washing sheets and my family slept on our beach towels on the sofas.
The next day we went to make breakfast. Every cup, plate, spoon, fork, spatula, and pan had gunk on them. I spend the first day washing all their dishes for them and wiping out their cabinets.
We were the very first renters for these people so I thought it would be ok, we do Vrbo a lot because of our 4 kids. This was the worst! Even the shower had clumps of cob webs and Spiders in the bottom that just rinsed away if you would of actually put ANY effort into.
She refused to give me my cleaning fee back because she said it was “for the next guest”!!! They made no effort to clean that place. We won’t ever go back.

From the first day you requested to reserve my property, I told you, that you would need to contact me before you got to the property so I could explain how to get there, because it is out in the middle of nowhere and our 911 sign had not come in. I insisted that I could meet you out there or at least call me when you got to Llano so I could help you find the place. You insisted you didn't need the help but you call me in the middle of the night screaming at me because you cannot find the rental.
You also stated several times that you were a "single mom" with 4 kids but then you stated that your "husband" and son could help with the gates and cows I had told you about. So you misrepresented the amount of people that were going to be staying. I also have neighbors that can verify that. I also believe you had a dog, which we have restricted from our cabin. I have witnesses that can verify that clean sheets were put on the bed and the shower had been cleaned. I had also checked the utensil drawers to make sure they were clean.
You twisted my words about the cleaning after the guests stay. It is cleaned before and after.
This is what I found after your stay, dishes and trash strung around the yard and on the outside bar. Mattresses thrown on the floor. Candy wrappers in the washer and dryer. Pans in the sink with egg and food cooked on it that was left from your stay, because I know our eggs that I left were used, which I didn't mind but if you hadn't made such an issue over things. We have spiders, scorpions and sometimes snakes. It is the country. I am sorry your stay was disappointing but you were not a very good guest, either.
This was such a joy to rent. It is a place you wished you could stay. Gwen was an amazing host and went above and beyond to make our stay a great one. The place was clean and well stocked with all we needed to get away and have a great relaxing weekend. The view to the river is BEAUTIFUL! Sitting outside in the mornings with our coffee and seeing that view was awesome. The sky at night just lit up as we sat out on the porch. The fishing was awesome and the access to the river is perfect. Close to several towns if you want to go in and shop. We will rent this place many more times in the future. Thank you Gwen!
It was nice to sit on the porch in the evenings and just listen to the silence of the country. The river rolling, deer and rabbits hopping and playing. Birds chirping and singing. The house was super cute, and decor was well I ❤️‘D it. There was only 1 item, but I’m sure not everyone drives a leveled MegaCab that reaches the trees on your drive up the driveway.
Hope to stay here many times in the future, especially since I now have family in the area!
Thank you and again beautiful! Clean! Comfy and relaxing!

We bought the property in 1998 and built the cabin in 2009. My husband and I are life-long Mason county residents. We have had years of enjoyment from this property and wanted to share with others.
