The place was not equipped well to accommodate two boats and two trucks as I was told it was. No power in the front of house to charge batteries for the boat parked on the street. Not good fish cleaning accommodations. Also, no way to contact owner to tell them their water faucet on back side of house would not shut off. We shut it off by the main water in basement. We did not use the two beds in the south bedroom as we used sleeping bags so we did not wash them.
The owner contacted me the day ahead of our trip and mentioned they had heavy rain in the area that flooded the house of this property and there was a slight musty smell. He offered another larger home he owned in the same town for the same price. We took him up on the offer and it worked out great! These are older homes, so don't expect perfection, but overall they are clean with very comfortable beds. I would suggest to the owner maybe have a few more spices to cook with, and coffee on hand, but those are minor requests. I really appreciated the fact the owner reached out immediately when he thought there could be a problem with our first rental!
Last but not least, Webster is a small South Dakota town with a lot of really friendly people. We really enjoyed spending time there and the use of this home!

Overall, we were able to make the best of our visit. We did eventually find the Wi-Fi instructions, although it would be helpful if the check-in instructions mentioned that important information is posted throughout the house.Unfortunately, we were surprised by the overall condition of the home, especially the nightly rate which seemed inflated due to the reunion weekend 240/night. There was a strong musty odor throughout the house, broken blinds, peeling paint in the bathroom, a very moldy shower curtain, a large gap beneath the front entry door, and the basement appeared to be in significant disrepair. The kitchen also needed a much deeper cleaning. The coffee pot, cupboards, cookware, and dishes were dirty, and we ended up washing everything we planned to use before preparing meals. The linens and pillows also felt old and worn, and there was only one washcloth provided for four guests. While hosts are generally responsive, travelers should not have to contact them for basic necessities like enough washcloths.Webster is my hometown, and it is a wonderful community that attracts visitors for many reasons. I truly wish I could leave a more positive review because we enjoyed our time in Webster. I hope the owners will invest in some basic maintenance, a thorough deep cleaning, updated linens and pillows, and better ventilation between guests. Those improvements would make a significant difference and help future guests have the experience they expect for the price.
Will definitely stay at this property again. Easy check in and out, fast response to questions and off street parking with a small garage to set your fishing or hunting gear in overnight.
We stayed here for a hunting trip. The house was just what we needed it to be after days in the fields. We liked the location and local options for food and supplies in Webster.
Was well located for our hunting weekend, with comfortable bedrooms and a nice common area for hanging out. Easy to find.
