The cottage was located in a good neighborhood. In walking distance of everything Charleston has to offer. While the cottage is described as historic, we were disappointed by the property’s condition. Every wall was scuffed, blinds didn’t work, light bulb burned out, kitchen in need of upgrades. The outside of the home looks like it’s in foreclosure. Host did offer to replace the light bulb. We left a day early.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the neighborhood and the convenient walkable location. It is a historic home and we always make sure to upgrade while trying to preserve the historic nature of the home, which can sometimes come with a unique character. We also appreciate you bringing the maintenance concerns to our attention so we can follow up and address them. We’re sorry your stay did not fully meet expectations and appreciate your comments as we continue to improve.
Enjoyed our stay. Would have preferred street entry instead of alley entry.

Thanks so much for your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed your stay. Totally understand the preference for street entry - the alley entry can be a bit quirky, but we hope it didn’t put too much of a dent in your experience. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts and would love to host you again!
My niece and I enjoyed our stay at this cottage! The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. We loved the historical nature of the cottage. Check out Bad Bunnies for coffee in the morning. And Vern's was a 10/10 for dinner!

Love hearing that everything hit the mark, Sophie! 🎯 So glad you had a great stay in Charleston — we’d be thrilled to host you again. Fingers crossed for a return trip soon! 😊🌴
Central location with responsive host. You’re staying in an older home, so expect noisy floorboards and stairs. The interior is well maintained and kitchen felt clean. The memory foam mattress is a bit worn down, so you have to find your spot or move a lot through the night (we were achy after first night). Most of the blinds won’t open, leaving the downstairs fairly dark.It was a great last minute find after the holidays.Off street parking was a big plus.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re pleased you enjoyed the central location and our team’s responsiveness. Parking in Charleston is often hard to find, so we’re glad we could accommodate. Our housekeeping team takes pride in their cleanliness, so it’s wonderful to hear the kitchen was well-maintained. We also appreciate your observations regarding the floorboards, stairs, mattress, and blinds. It helps us improve. Thanks again.
The host was very responsive and the kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed. The chain on the toilet was broken, so we had to flush manually. The host did offer to fix it within an hour of us reporting it, which was good, but didn’t work with our schedule. I do think the price for this property is a little high, given the condition of the floors. Also, I’m not sure the bed is actually a queen; it felt more like a full.

We appreciate you noting the toilet issue - our team did offer to resolve it promptly, and we understand timing didn’t align during your visit. We’d also like to confirm that the bed is indeed a queen size. Your comments regarding pricing and flooring condition are noted, and we appreciate the honest input as it helps us continue improving. The property was easy to access, and onsite parking off the street was great! We were close to restaurants, a great coffee shop (sightsee), and our friend who we were visiting. Highly recommend this property! Also the communication by YOURPAD was on point.

So glad check-in, parking and communication were a breeze for you all, Mary Lynn! Thanks so much for recommending us - means a lot :) Come back and see us soon!
We loved the location as we were within walking distance of much of what we had planned throughout downtown. The neighborhood is quiet and the apartment itself is cozy while offering plenty of space for two people to lounge in comfortably. As other reviews noted, the loft area does get warmer than the rest of the house, but the box fan provided made the nights comfortable for sleeping.

Good location, as described
House was a good place to stay, gentrified neighborhood that will be something soon. Nice places all around that give you the local feel for sure.
A cute little place, big enough for 2, close enough to walk or ride a bicycle to see the sights but far enough away to avoid the noise and traffic. Would definitely stay here again.
