It was the perfect place to stay while in Salida! Within walking distance to the park for the Beer Festival, and to the Boathouse Cantina for a wonderful dinner. Thank you for the clean and comfortable lodging!

So glad you enjoyed your stay at the palace! Sounds like you had a great time in Salida!
My husband and I have stayed at the Palace hotel for years and have always loved it . After the hotel was sold we were worried but the room was equally as comfortable and lovely ! Thank you for the beautiful room !!
Nice property. Great location. Comfortable. Liked the old hotel atmosphere

Hi Rick. We are so happy to hear that The Palace was a great place to celebrate your anniversary! We hope to welcome you back again for your 3rd wedding anniversary as well!
The property was older, but kept very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The price is a bit high for what you get, but cheaper than a DUI. Having breakfast right around the corner at The Biker and The Baker was fantastic.
We needed to get out of our mountain town, away from work and familiar haunts. Salida was a great place to do it. This space allowed us access to all shops, restaurants, a park and river in just steps. Parking may seem confusing on paper, but is quite easily navigated. Great historical spot for a quick getaway in a fun vibing town.
Enjoyed our night in the old west apartment. Lots of charm and comfortable too. The best part is the location which is right next to the river and downtown restaurants, shops. The only minor issue was the small refrigerator needed defrosting and didn’t work that well.
The location is absolutely magnificent. The building is sweet, quaint all of the charming words. The only thing I would’ve changed is possibly that it needed to be just a little cooler in there. I’m at an age where coolness counts and I was definitely hot, but they did provide fans which was great.
Location of the Palace Hotel is ideal and perfect.
There are not really any windows in this room besides in the bathroom which is not a place you really want floor to ceiling windows.
Also, there was quite a bit of squeaking from the floor above us, which made it difficult to sleep in.
The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable, but a 1 day night stay was ideal.
Overall this space was comfortable, clean, and convenient. You can't beat the location, right in the midst of the historic district/creative corridor and right across the street from the river park. That was lovely. But a few minor things could have been just a tiny bit better - the decor was a little more shabby and dated than it was vintage (vintage, cool, and pretty sexy was how the photos looked to us, but not quite in reality). The shower was truly teeny tiny, I'm pretty small and I barely had room to turn around. The kitchen is helpful but sparsely appointed - like there as literally only one paring knife to work with (and we like to at least eat breakfast in the room, so cooking anything was difficult). But other than those tiny inconveniences, we had a comfortable stay and the hosts were very communicative and helpful. I would stay again, but maybe in a room with a bigger shower!
It was a nice condo, exactly what we needed. Everything was as expected and Terry even came to check on us to make sure we had plenty of towels. She was very kind. There was also dove toiletries which was better than at the last place we stayed. I also liked the pillows.
The only issue was when we took the trash out, there was a hole in the bottom of the bag and our trash fell out on the floor. That was annoying but just a bad circumstance that I doubt happens to anyone else. There was a little trash from the previous guest but it wasn’t anything gross. Also, one of our towels was a “dog towel” but we didn’t notice until after Terry had talked to us. I’m sure she would have traded it out for us if we had asked but we had an extra.
Overall, good stay. I’d stay there again.
Right in the middle of town. Very easy check in. Safe and quiet building. Bed was super comfortable. Big windows bring in lots of clean mountain air. Window air conditioner worked well. Everything you need for a quick getaway.
