Thank you, what a divine guest you were. We appreciate your business and look forward to the next time.
Sweet and charming place to stay, very Marin in all the right ways. If you don’t mind a bit of uphill walking coming back up, it’s a very nice stroll to the shops and restaurants. The view across the valley to the opposite hillside is stunning, especially when the fog is blowing through. Host is very nice. Would love to stay here again sometime
The host was super easy to communicate with and pleasant. All i wanted was a place to decompress and take in nature and i got that here. Architecturally pleasing elements.
This was such a sweet getaway! We loved staying here in our own apartment with hot tub availability. The nature around is amazing and so is the host. I'd certainly recommend staying here if you are visiting the Bay or SF!
I booked my trip specifically to get away from my typical life and spend some time doing deep work on me. Jena created the perfect environment for this kind or work. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The environment is inspiring -- the shift from morning, fog covered hills to warm sunny afternoons was beautiful and modeled the transformation I was seeking.Having full access to the large hot tub offered me even deeper relaxation.Working with Jena was a pleasure. The entire process was simple.
My stay here was perfect. The space is so dreamy, aesthetically beautiful, and had all the amenities I could need. The highlight for me was the outdoor hot tub and cold plunge! Plus, the gorgeous nearby hikes through the redwoods. I will absolutely stay here again!
The place was as advertise, no surprises. the host was kind and always accessible during our stay. The place was very clean , the hot tub was amazing and the valley view from up above into the valley was breathtaking. I would recommend and will stay again here

There were many problems with our stay and I do not recommend this place for anyone. First, the hottub was not hot enough for usage for the two first nights of our stay. Second, the fireplace was out of order for the enitre stay. Third, there were rust-colored stains all over the sheets, and we came home with little bites all over our body which seem consistent with bed bugs-- which apparently can be identified from rust colored stains. When we told Jena about these issues, she did her best to fix the hot tub, and it would have been hot enough by the second night but there was a power outtage (because we were using the radiator she provided, which was completely necessary given cold weather and no working fireplace)- this prevented the hot tub from heating up that night. We requested a refund for two nights of our stay, given that we chose the place for the private hot tub and fireplace, but were reimbursed only 50 total. This was very disappointing and we certainly won't stay there again. Aside from these issues, we heard lots of noise from the upper floor - a small child running around early in the morning, dogs barking - which we would have liked to know before our stay as well.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry that aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations.
When the hot tub temperature dropped, we responded right away and found that you'd left the jets for an extended period, plus the insulating cover had been removed. Both factors combined cooled down the tub.
We reset the system so it could reheat, but during that process a fuse was tripped at the house, which we resolved within 90 minutes so the hot tub could continue heating normally. It was hot on the second night.
Unfortunately, the fireplace was temporarily out of service during your stay, and we provided 2 electric radiators to ensure the space remained warm and comfortable during the cold weather.
Cleanliness is extremely important to us. All linens are professionally laundered between guests, and we have never had any evidence of bed bugs at the property. If there had been any concern with the linens during the stay, we would have happily replaced them immediately.
We would also like to clarify that there are no dogs at the property. While there may occasionally be normal household noise from the upstairs unit, we do our best to communicate the nature of the space so guests know what to expect.
While we were unable to meet the full refund requested, we did provide a partial refund as a gesture of goodwill.
We care deeply about our guests’ experiences and always aim to respond quickly and resolve any issues that arise during a stay.
Extremely classy wooden walls and floors surround you, while the view over the steam of the hot tub is of mist slowly falling between the sides of Mill Valley. We loved it there.
Amazingly beautiful neighborhood! The rental was perfect and provided the means for a much needed peaceful weekend. The hot tub with the view of the canyon and stars at night was great and we loved falling asleep to a crackling fire in the fireplace. Jena was super nice and responsive as well. Thank you!
Close to hikes and nature, you get a beautiful view while relaxing in the hot tub. Very close to Mill Valley downtown, but high enough to get great views. Everything is a short drive away.
Wellness add-ons were great, I got a massage and it was exactly what i needed, healing mind and body.

What a darling guest! Perfect in every way. Always welcome back.
It was a lovely quiet space to spend time. Waking to the view of the green hills was amazing. I opted for a massage, which far exceeded my expectations. David is a skilled practitioner who asked detailed questions about what I preferred and about "problem areas". He addressed those areas in a way that provided wonderful relief. The hosts were communicative, personable and thoughtful.

This is a beautiful little place for sure, but falsely advertised with buzzwords like "lover's getaway, retreat, tranquil, etc. It's basically a hillside apartment with eastern spa-like decor, and while entirely pleasing in both aesthetic and ammenity, there's simply no hiding that you are in fact smack in the middle of West Coast suburbia with a family living above. We were disturbed numerous times by sounds from upstairs, a chainsaw off in the distance during the morning, distant party music at night, and a racoon disturbance while in the hot tub. At the end of our stay, the shower drain backed up leaving a mess of mud. The host was responsive at moments when we reached out. Overall, we feel this is a lovely place and could certainly be a 5 star location, but it's oversold as a spalike getaway and falls short of the description given. Ultimately for us, we were looking for a tranquil getaway, and were greatly let down.

Thanks for your feedback. We're glad you appreciated the aesthetics and amenities of the space — we put great care into creating a peaceful, well-equipped environment.
That said, we want to clarify a few points for future guests. Our property is not in “suburbia” — it directly faces the 300-acre Cascade Canyon Open Space Preserve, offering forested views, wildlife, and a sense of seclusion. We’re just 17 minutes from San Francisco, making this one of the rare spots where you can enjoy nature and still be close to the city. There’s even a year-round waterfall just a 20-minute stroll from the home — not exactly your typical suburban setting.
Yes, occasional ambient sounds like distant landscaping, music, or wildlife can occur — that's part of staying near nature, not a flaw. The unit is a private hillside apartment with a family living above, but noise is rarely an issue. If you're seeking total silence, a remote cabin might be more suitable.
As for the plumbing issue: it was an unexpected clog in the shower, resolved the same day by a professional plumber. We responded immediately, as we always do.
We're transparent in our listing and photos, and most guests tell us the experience exceeds expectations. We’re sorry this one didn’t meet yours, but we stand behind the accuracy of our description and the responsiveness of our hosting.
I had a lovely getaway at the Enchanted Waterfall Sanctuary. The hosts live upstairs with their toddler but the rental was totally private and relaxing with amazing views and a great hot tub. I used the office nook to catch up on some work (great fast WiFi) and enjoyed reading my book with some tea in the lounge area. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a rock. Looking out at Mt. Tam and the forested valley while soaking in the hot tub was a highlight as well as walking to Cascade Falls down the road. This is a true hidden gem in Mill Valley and I look forward to returning for another visit to rest and recharge soon.
Watching the fog slowly curl over the treetops to pool into the valley was such a powerful mindfulness exercise.
Super peaceful and beautiful property, exactly as the photos depicted. The host was very communicative and helpful, warm and friendly!
I don’t have a car but walking to and from the charming downtown area was pretty easy and close to the Old Mill Park that is an access point to the Dipsea trail.
Very clean dwelling throughout and with quality furniture (including the bed and linens!) Also, ZERO mosquitoes during my stay!

AMAZING host and breathtaking views! The place is cozy, comfortable, private, and very clean. A wonderful space to disconnect and find peace in nature. The host put so much care into creating a relaxing environment with lovely touches and amenities throughout the home and gave easy to follow instructions for parking and local activities. The location was perfect, just a few minutes from the cute downtown mill valley, Muir Woods, and San Francisco. It was also super dog-friendly with a big backyard that our pup loved! We had a wonderful time and will definitely back to this one of a kind forest retreat!
Property had beautiful views, however it was actually the basement of another house. Had to walk down steep hill to enter house ( very difficult with luggage). Owner said “ I usually communicate better with my guest”. Towels were stained, bed was mattress and box spring on floor, heat consisted of portable plug in heater. We elected to leave after one night. Owner did give us a partial refund for one night out of three we had booked

Hosts beware! Ray was one of those difficult guests that hosts dread. Although I explained to him explicitly where to enter, he went to the neighbor's house and bothered her at night. He also parked in the place that specifically says reserved, and is not available for guests. He complains about it being a steep walk, however to clarify this is a mountain getaway with sweeping valley views. We live on the side of a mountain which makes it the heaven on Earth that it is. If a 2 minute walk down a driveway with a spectacular valley view is not your cup of tea, a flat hotel by the highway is recommended. I've had hundreds of compliments about how amazing the bed is so I'm shocked that he complains about it. Our towels are immaculate so now he's simply making things up. This place is absolutely amazing, don't listen to Ray.
As soon as I park my car and unpack.. I was immediately transported to rest! The smell of the redwoods filled my nose as I laid on the bed that boasted the views of the valley and felt like I was deep into the woods, yet, right near everything. The bedding made it difficult for me to leave my bed, plus with the view, I truly enjoyed a slow wake up in the morning. The hot tub was exceptional and with the cold plunge right next to it.. I was able to work out some kinks in my tight muscles. Having a kitchen full of equipment allowed me to eat and snack and not have to look for any plates, etc. The various seating areas (in door and out) allowed me to have various prospective of the amazing views. Jena is an amazing host. Being available for anything I needed is a plus of having the host inside. I left rested and relaxed and looking forward to planning my next escape there!
My stay at the sanctuary was nothing short of a balm for my heart and spirit, a place where beauty and tranquility wove themselves into every corner. From the moment I entered, I could feel the peacefulness of the energy, light and soothing, as though the space itself were alive with harmony. Every detail of its design was crafted with such exquisite care and attention, blending comfort with artistry in a way that felt almost otherworldly.
It wasn’t just my body that found rest here, but my heart and soul too, cradled in a rare ease I had long yearned for. To sit in the hot tub, enveloped in warmth while gazing out over the canyon’s mesmerizing expanse, was an experience I will carry with me always—a moment of pure connection with nature and stillness, as if time itself had paused to offer me this gift.
The sanctuary’s energy felt ethereal, infused with lightness. The soft whites that filled the space, the plush carpet beneath my feet, and the gentle touches of thoughtful design all combined to create an atmosphere of subtle grace. It was the delicate nuances that truly elevated the experience: a freshly prepared bouquet of flowers left on the table, a small offering of care that spoke directly to the soul.
I left deeply satisfied, as though I had been transported to a higher vibrational plane of existence—one where rest is sacred and beauty nourishes not only the body but the spirit.
