Wonderful place to stay, surrounded by wildlife and nature. Clean, pretty quiet and a comfortable bed to recover from a day packed full of outdoor activities.
Very cute place! Got ready for my wedding with my bridesmaids and there was more than enough space! Called Tammy about something and she was very nice and helped me navigate!
Nice quiet area. It appears a cabin is being split into three lodging rentals, so the layout is a bit strange. But, it was clean and contained everything we needed for our short stay. If there had been other renters in the adjoining spaces, it would have been disappointing.

Thank you for your review, Ross. We're glad to hear the space was clean and had everything you needed for your stay. Just to clarify, this is the main log cabin and is not being converted into a multi-unit rental. It is currently being upgraded to enhance comfort and aesthetics while preserving its rustic charm. We appreciate your feedback as we continue making improvements, and we’re glad you enjoyed the peaceful location. Wishing you safe and happy travels!
It was a good place for my family to stay. Our little ones got to see goats, dogs, chickens, ducks, turkeys, deer, and horses. Contrary to what VRBO says, though, it is not in Kila, but about 10 minutes west and south.
We had a great time staying here! The cabin was great, and the surrounding area was even better. Our daughter really enjoyed meeting the horses, goats, and dogs and walking the property. We loved walking to the lake and exploring. The house had everything we needed, check-in and check-out was easy, and Tammie was very accommodating. We'd love to stay here again!
This place was set out in the middle of no were which I loved. Was very peaceful and quiet. Great place with awesome wood work. The up stairs porch was a great place after a long day to have a beer and watch deer walk through the yard. Great stay!

About the host
Hosted by Alex & Tammy Fisher
We have a deep love for the land, our animals, and creating unforgettable experiences for others. Alex is a skilled home builder and designer, a true horse whisperer, and an incredible artist. When he’s not crafting beautiful spaces or starting our foundation-bred quarter horses, he’s often out in the wild as a passionate big game hunter. His stories around the fire are legendary—filled with humor, wisdom, and a touch of adventure.
I’m Tamara, an entrepreneur at heart. I’ve worn many hats over the years: teacher, chef, horse trainer, and most of all, a storyteller and people person. I love connecting with guests, sharing our journey, and making sure every detail of your stay is just right.
We built this cabin as a place to rest, reconnect, and enjoy the wild beauty of Montana. Whether you're here to explore, relax, or sip wine under the stars, we hope you feel the warmth of our hospitality and the heart of our story in every corner.
Why they chose this property
The Setting: Peaceful Pines & Mountain Air
Our cabin is nestled in a quiet, forested neighborhood where the only traffic you'll hear is the occasional rustle of deer or wild turkeys passing through. Surrounded by tall pines and fresh mountain air, this is a place where you can truly slow down and breathe.
One of our favorite things about living here is the peacefulness—our neighbors value their space and the serenity of the area, which makes for an incredibly restful stay. Just a 10-minute walk away is Rogers Lake, a hidden gem for fishing, paddleboarding, or simply watching the water reflect the sky.
If you're into hiking, you'll find beautiful trails nearby that wind through forests and meadows, offering glimpses of wildlife and unforgettable views of Big Sky Country.
What makes this property unique
What sets our cabin apart is the feeling you get the moment you arrive—peace, privacy, and a deep breath of clean, pine-scented air. Tucked away on 5 acres of forested land, our property offers true seclusion without being too far from town. The well water here is naturally pure with the perfect pH. Wildlife is part of the experience—deer frequently wander through the property, often pausing near the trees or just outside the windows. There’s a natural calm here that’s hard to describe and even harder to find elsewhere.
Whether you're sipping wine under the stars, walking the trail to Rogers Lake, or simply enjoying the stillness of the forest, our place offers something truly rare: a genuine Montana retreat.
