Perfect location and close to hiking and some great restaurants, Bull Docks fabulous! Beautifully decorated and room for everyone. We all enjoyed it very much. Don’t forget to take the taco Tuesday cruise that is listed in the magazine provided, hike on the other side of the lake, great trails! Turtle trail being one of them.

Drift Away

We had a wonderful two weeks at Smith Mountain Lake in Drift Away. The house was a great size for our large family and the dock area was great for swimming and fishing. We brought our boat and had a blast touring the lake and doing water sports! Nice hot tub, comfy beds and beautiful views!

A comfortable lake house with a great dock and easy proximity to Bridgewater Marina. The only aspect we did not fully grasp from the listing was the number of stairs to get to and from the dock. Definitely manageable, just a slight struggle for some of our older guests.

The house had a very nice layout, comfortable beds, and great spaces indoor and outdoors. There were plenty of plates, mugs, glasses and silverware. It lacked a bit on service utensils but had decent cookware and cooking utensils. Bathroom towels were very thin and small. There is very little in the way of paper supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, tissues) supplied when you arrive.We had a few issues with the dishwasher and grill and some lights that were out but the manager was quick to reply and repair. We loved the outdoor TV and enjoyed the hot tub too. We had a lovely time.

We had a fantastic Thanksgiving at Smith Mountain Lake thanks to this fantastic rental. The house was clean, the kitchen was well stocked (even for a Thanksgiving meal), and the amenities were a big hit with our younger crowd (hot tub, huge tv for watching football near a pool table, state park close by for hiking). Highly recommend!!

Foothills Retreat is at the best location on the lake with luxury lake enjoyment and access to many restaurants, marinas, state park hiking trails, kids activities, parks, wineries, etc. There's plenty of space for large groups both indoor and out and an oversized party deck, stationary and floating dock for enjoying the lake.
