We enjoyed our stay. Place was perfect for our family of 6. The kitchen and grill were handy to make meals so we didn't have to eat out. Fire pit was perfect to relax and enjoy.
Adorable cottage with a nice open layout. More than enough room to let our 2 little ones play while not feeling cramped. Very nice setup, clean and super close to the beaches.
Slept 6 comfortably for a few nights ....worked well for our needs ...pet friendly ..quiet neighborhood...
Not sure I would want to stay for a week vaca but a weekend was perfect and the location was great.

Glad you enjoyed your stay at A Tale of Two Beaches! You didn't specify why you thought you wouldn't enjoy a week here?
Many past guests have been very happy spending a week- with a spacious full kitchen complete with a dishwasher, comfortable King and Queen beds, two twin beds, ceiling fans in eIf ach bedroom, AC, heat, large propane grill, big yard, walkable to two public beaches...and use of two kayaks on Lake Luzerne!!
If the lack of washer/dryer is a concern- Lake Luzerne has a 24 hr laundromat less than 2 miles away!
Great place to be near Lake Luzerne or Lake George, upper Sacandaga. The rooms are small however the dining, kitchen area and living area are spacious.
We stayed for 7 nights and we enjoyed our stay. Bathroom was snug for 5 of us but we made it work. Wonderful three season porch to enjoy and everything you need to feel at home. Nice neighborhood, we could walk our dog daily and felt safe. We would recommend this cottage to a family.
We stayed 5 days and it was a great central location for day trips all over the Adirondacks. The property was nothing fancy but we weren’t looking for that since we planned to be out most of the days we were there. The beds were comfy and the house had everything we needed. The owner is excellent with communication and the property was well kept. We would highly recommend this property!

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Ok but probably won’t stay there again
The place had cobwebs and dust bunnies there was also a pair of short tucked in next to one of the beds that would have been easily found when they made the beds or cleaned. Some of the sheets had stains and the pillows had stains too, they were covered by pillow protectors but you can still see it. Also, the shower looked bigger in the picture.
We had a great time on our long weekend here. Place is very spacious and clean. Walking distance to both beaches. We enjoyed the outside fire pit and took lots of walks. Close to lake George village so was nice to take a day trip there. Plenty of other local activities as well. Bon’s Ice cream and mini golf would highly recommend.

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed some of the nearby local attractions as well! Yes, Bon's Ice cream is SOOO convenient! Hope you choose the Tale of Two Beaches if your travels bring you back to the Lake George region!
The house was clean when we arrived. perfect for my family and dogs. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. The Luzerne lake beaches were a short walk from the house and lake George a quick ride. I would definitely come back here again!

Joan-
Thank you! Sounds like you all got toes in the sand! Hope you choose the Tale of Two Beaches(vrbo#2289365) or one of the other Lake Luzerne properties I manage (#2372535,#2372016,#9447317,#3755251,#3740355,#2140082) if your travels bring you back to the Lake George region!
We had a wonderful stay. Very clean and roomy. Everything we needed was supplied and easy instructions for check in/out. We usually stay in Lake George and we were worried about the location, but the drive into Lake George was easy and about 10 minutes. Plus the location of house was very nice. The only thing that we were not use to was the wall to wall carpeting, even in kitchen. We do like hard wood floors, But the rug was very clean
The house was way better than we expected! We couldn’t spend as much time there as we would have liked though because my cousins came to Lake George to surprise me for my birthday and no guest are allowed at this house, so that was the only downfall of staying at this house.

All guests need to be listed on the lease, with a max occupancy of 6, due to the house being a 3 bedroom/, 1 bathroom, with a septic, not municipal sewer. That is clearly stated as a house rule, that you accepted upon booking. Your booking included 4 adults- up to 2 more guests could have been permitted, with no events or family reunions beyond max capacity of 6 persons
Great camp house for families and groups of 5-6 people visiting the Adirondack region. Camp has a fully functional kitchen and a small but adequate bathroom. Rooms and space were as advertised. The location of the home is approximately 20 minutes away from the southern Lake George region as well as Saratoga Springs region. Diane responded promptly to all questions and she was helpful in answering questions about the region. Would definitely stay here again.

Janett-Glad you enjoyed your stay at the Tale of Two Beaches, and enjoyed some of the many attractions the Lake George area has to offer
This property worked well for our family (2 adults, 3 teens and our 5yo) and dog. Short walk to the beaches. Clean lakes to swim and fish in. The neighborhood seemed very quiet and peaceful. Kayaking was fun, only issue was chaining them back up after we used them. Great communication with the property manager Diane! She answered all my questions very quickly via text. Overall had a lovely stay!

So glad you and your family enjoyed your stay at A Tale of Two Beaches! The neighborhood is quiet! The lake is Clean! Kayaks are provided on the public kayak racks, and unfortunately, we do ask that guests lock them back up to ensure that they'll be accessible and ready for the next guests! I recommend guests take a quick pic of how they're chained up for easy reference, but anyhow is fine, as long as they're secure...
Hope you got the chance to see and hear the loons on the lake!
It was our family's last-minute decision to get away and with many places sold out at Lake George, our original destination, I came across A Tale of Two Beaches house near Lake Luzerne. I'm glad we have stayed away from the busier place and ended up in a very quiet community, minutes away from the lake. There was nothing fancy about the place but it had everything that you need. My family enjoyed nearby hiking, railbike trip, swimming in the lake, kayaking, and gathering by the fire pit in the evening.
Diane, the host was very responsive and answered all the questions we had. We could not find iron on the day of the arrival and she brought it over soon after we contacted her. If you are looking for a quiet place to get away, I recommend the little town of Lake Luzerne and A Tale of Two Beaches home.
The purpose of our trip was the annual balloon fest, but we were able to do so much more from the great central location to all the things we love. The cottage is in a beautiful quite neighborhood, near the hiking trails and senic drives on our list. Stores are near for any forgotten nessisities. The property manager was prompt in her response to any questions, and offered some great suggestions to local attractions, A++!!! Restaurants all around close early, so this will interfere with a jam packed day. The only thing I can think of would be a dishwasher. After all the hiking and staying out late at the balloon fest, washing dishes was the last thing we wanted or felt like doing. This cottage covered all our needs.
