About the host
Hosted by Kevin&Jennifer
Parkview Cottages offers 4 charming rental cottages on beautiful Sturgeon Lake. Each cottage features one or two bedrooms, 1 bathroom with a shower, kitchen, living room, barbeque, fire pit, closed in front porch, and access to a sandy beach. Nearby amenities include shops, theatres and restaurants in Bobcaygeon and Lindsay which are both only 10 minutes away.
Why they chose this property
The cottages made the south shore of Sturgeon Lake a go-to destination in the 1940’s. That’s when the Greenhurst Pavilion dance floor thundered at night and the Sturgeon Point regatta made the day genteel. For generations, families have listened to loons bring in the evening, watched gorgeous sunsets slip into the water, and added their laughter and memories to Parkview's laid back history.
Seventy years later, Parkview continues its housekeeping cottage legacy. Our spacious property has century-old towering cedars, multiple docks, a small beach, 3 firepits, swings and an air-hocky table. Jump off the dock, cast out your line, or sit in the shade with a beverage. A lakeside bonfire pit is ready for your songs, marshmallows, and conversation.
Parkview is not luxurious. If that’s what you’re after, rent a Muskoka condo. Parkview is rural Ontario rustic. Our cozy cottages give you a place to escape from the hectic, fast-paced bustle of everyday life.
Each rustic cottage comes with a linens, fridge, stove, BBQ Grill, and loaded kitchen, including pots, pans, and dishes—but it’s bring your own towels and personal supplies. Just what you need for a relaxing week of getting back to basics. And don’t forget a well-loved deck of cards, your trusty rod, grandad’s lucky lures, and a slow-way-down-to-lounge mentality.
