🌵 Serenity Sands - Large Fenced House with Hot Tub, BBQ and Fire Pit! 🌵

Serenity Sands is a place for friends and family to have a home base within walking distance to restaurants, local shopping and a quick, 10 minute drive to the National Park entrance. We welcome you to come and relax and start making Joshua Tree memories! With a beautiful backyard with desert landscape, propane fire pit and BBQ it's a perfect place to enjoy desert nights!

• THE SPACE
There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with comfortable sleeping arrangements for 6 people. The home is cooled by an evaporative cooler during summer months and a wall heater during winter months.

•THE OUTDOORS
The property has a spacious backyard with desert landscape, hot tub, propane fire pit and BBQ.

• RENTAL AGREEMENT
There will be a rental agreement sent out that will need a signature to complete the reservation

• DEPOSIT
We do not charge a security deposit. We welcome you and your guests to come to the property without an added security deposit or any extra holds of funds. You will not have to worry about any additional charges for accidental damages!

• A/C / HEAT
Serenity Sands is cooled by an evaportive cooler and wall heater. This will help keep the house cool during warmer desert days and warmer during those chilly nights.
++ Please note, the evaportive cooler will not be usable during the cooler months (October - March) and
++ During super humid months (August and September) the evaporitive cooler will not do much to help cool the house as there will be too much moisture in the air

• HOT TUB
The hot tub is set at 103 and is hot for your arrival. It is set up to automatically filter so you may hear it turning itself on and off. That is totally normal. The hot tub guy comes every Wednesday to service the hot tub. He wont need to come inside but he will go around the side of the house.

• FIRE
Due to the location and a current open fire ban there is a strict no outside wood burning fire policy. If it is discovered that you have started an outside fire, using fireworks or other open fire means your rental agreement will be terminated and you will be asked to leave.
WE DO HAVE A PROPANE FIRE PIT FOR YOUR USE AND ENJOYMENT.

• PETS
Pets of any kind are NOT allowed

• IDENTITY VERIFICATION
You will receive a text or email from Guest Ranger that will ask you to verify your identity and submit a picture of a government issued ID and a selfie. This information will be used to verify that the booking guest matches the credit card used and to help reduce any issues with identity theft. This process is mandatory to complete the booking. The data is protected in a hash-encrypted vault following data security standards including GDPR. Data-input in the vault is encrypted in a two-way function where information is scrambled using an encryption key and unscrambled later using a decryption key. On top of that, we use hashing to add an extra layer of security using a one-way function where a unique message digest is generated from an input file or a string of text. No keys are used.

Great spot. Convenient check in. Nice and quiet. Comfortable place. Beds and bedding were very comfortable. Good BBQ. Didn’t use hot tub but it seemed in good working order. Generally well equipped. Pans a bit aged and one drawer in kitchen askew but those were the only very minor issues.

This property was great for my girls trip. A 15 min drive to the park, and not far from other amenities. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were very firm. The hot tub was great after a day of hiking.

The home was very conveniently located to Joshua Tree National Park and nicely appointed. The hot tub was great to look at the stars and after our hikes. Joshua tree downtown was just a walk away but if you needed more Yucca Valley was just a few miles down the road. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Great location for JTNP. Easy access, good shopping for groceries. Good kitchen utensils and appliances. Comfortable beds, gas grill worked well and hot tub was clean. Relaxing after a day hiking.

Nice Property Close to Joshua Tree NP

We had a great time staying at Serenity Sands! It was close to the park and was a good size for our group of 4. The house interior is very pretty and clean, and the backyard is lovey with it's cactus garden and hot tub. My only critiques are that there were very little provided resources (there wasn't a single spare roll of toilet paper in the house), and that communication could have been better. I sent a message before our trip inquiring if there would be laundry machines for use in the house (there are not) and just never got a response. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

Great house at the gates of Joshua Tree National Park

Stayed with friends on a trip to Joshua Tree. House is located maybe a mile from the park entrance. It's as clean and neat as it looks in the pictures. The hot tub got a lot of use given the unseasonable cold during our visit, and everything about the house was fantastic. Management company was responsive when we had "trouble" with the hot tub that turned out to be us not knowing how it worked.

Self catering for non-self-catering

House is a cutie and first impressions good but quickly realized that many areas need some TLC. No crockery was provided, only worn camping plates. Fitted kitchen needs maintenance, counters need re-caulking, hot tub cover is disintegrating- it fills the tub with bits when you open it, and very few useable pots, pans and utensils. Disappointing for the price. A little TLC could bring this property back from a 3 star to a 5.

Unhelpful property manager

The house was nice but the battery went out on the deadbolt and the property manager wouldn’t come out to fix it until I called three times. We were locked out in the cold for thirty minutes until we finally got it. The next day I called again and they finally came out. We had to leave the door unlocked in the meantime. We never got an apology from the property manager. The bunk bed is very rickety so only suitable for kids.

No internet the entire length of the stay

The place is nice and the location is near the entrance to the park and restaurants. The issue was lack of internet. The management company was communicative the entire time but it was beyond their reach. Apparently the owner was hard to get a hold of and he/she was the only who could communicate with the carrier. My husband and brother need to have access to internet due to the nature of their roles at their jobs and hotspots can only do so much. We were there December 26 to 29. The management company offered us 20% off per night and so far only charge backs have gone through. I emailed on Friday and I have yet to hear back from the management co regarding my discount fro the 3rd night.
