Visit the geothermal steam fountains of Larderello or the nearby geothermal museum. There is also a natural thermal lake with warm spring water nearby. You can also explore the medieval village of Castelnuovo Val di Cecina or take a day trip to Volterra, which is famous for its Etruscan history. The beaches of the Etruscan Coast can also be reached by car.

Im Sommer bestimmt schön…

… im Herbst leider keine Freude. Das Haus war sehr feucht, eine Maus hat unsere Vorräte gefressen und der Weg zum Haus war auf Grund des Regens in wirklich schlechtem Zustand. Mit dem Mietwagen keine Freude, man hat es am Unterboden kratzen gehört. Der Gesamtzustand ist leider nicht so besonders, der Spülkasten ist undicht, Ameisen überall, in der Dusche ist orangener Schimmel. Wir haben die Unterkunft nach einer Nacht frühzeitig verlassen.

Verwunschenes Häuschen

Einsam und verwunschen gelegen, schattig inmitten von Wald und Busch. Ganz wunderbar zum Entspannen und romantischer Zweisamkeit. Etwas weit weg von allem - man muss halt jeden Tag ins Auto und etwas fahren, wenn man wohin will, aber auch das gehört in der wundervollen Toskana/ Maremma einfach dazu. Ein toller Ort.

Einsamkeit mit Kirchenglockenspiel

Wir waren das erste Mal in Italien und in der Toskana. Das Objekt befindet sich sprichwörtlich in der Pampa. La Leccia hat gefühlt 5 Häuser und die Unterkunft befindet noch 5 km entfernt auf einem Berg. Für die erwähnte Schotterstraße bräuchte man eigentlich ein Allradfahrzeug. Der Ausblick ist herrlich. Die Bilder von der Unterkunft sollte man jedoch mit einer gewissen Skepsis anschauen. Es gibt kein WLAN und die Vermieterin spricht nur Englisch. Wir haben gedacht 45 km zum Strand kann man ja gut bewältigen... Wir haben zum Meer über 1 Stunde gebraucht. Der nächste Laden ist in 45 Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen.
