Located in Bigfork, this holiday home is in the mountains and on a lake. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Flathead Lake and North Shore State Park, while Eric Thorsen Art Studio and Bigfork Summer Playhouse are cultural highlights. Kehoe's Agate Shop and Eva Gates Homemade Preserves are also worth visiting. Take in the nearby slopes with cross-country skiing, snowboarding and skiing, or try out other outdoor activities such as sledging.
We had 13 family members in this cabin and it worked out very well! The house was clean and stylish, though a little disorganized. We rented here for the proximity to Glacier. Turns out, it’s at least an hour drive to West Glacier entrance. That was a little far for us. Wish it had been closer. But there is amazing hiking to be done in the Jewel Basin and the proximity to Big Fork was great. Public beach access to Echo Lake was a 5-10 min drive. Looking at the map of the listing, I thought we’d be able to walk there, but no. Oh well. We enjoyed our time a lot. Host was responsive and we got a good feel for Montana.
Great spot for a family get together, very secluded and private. Lots of room!
Easy check in process. Only issue is that main living area is on the second floor which makes it difficult for older folks. Didn’t notice that on the listing. Other than that it was a great place.
