The Coco bungalow is part of Gîte Cannelle at Pointe des Châteaux, in Saint-François, Guadeloupe. It is a seasonal rental classified as a furnished tourist accommodation.

Located at Pointe des Châteaux in Saint-François, Guadeloupe, Gîte Cannelle has been in operation for nearly 40 years. If you’re looking for a quiet spot surrounded by nature and close to the beaches, you won’t be disappointed. Nestled between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, the Gîte is surrounded by the sea, with the water just 200 metres away on either side. Several small coves are within walking distance, as is Tarare Beach. You can also enjoy the magnificent Salines Beach—the beach on Grande Terre where you’ll see the most fish and coral—as well as Gourde Beach, both just a 2-minute drive or a 20-minute walk away. These two beaches are also fortunate to be largely unaffected by Sargassum.

Gîte Cannelle enjoys an unspoiled setting surrounded by nature. Small sugarbirds and hummingbirds will visit you in the morning to feed on the hibiscus flowers or eat the sugar placed in the calabash feeders on the terraces of each unit.

A large swimming pool, completely renovated in 2021 and measuring 4 metres by 8, is shared among the various accommodation at the gîte.

If you’re worried about rain, even during the rainy season, Pointe des Châteaux remains a fairly dry area.

This setting is just as appealing to visitors to the island as it is to locals.

A convenience store open 7 days a week with a bread delivery service is a 2-minute walk away. You’ll also find several restaurants nearby, some of which are highly regarded.

All of the cottage’s rental units are furnished accommodation classified for tourism, listed with the tourist office and Gîtes de France, and recommended by the Guide du Routard and Le Petit Futé.

On the practical side, the guesthouse has several drinking water tanks and rainwater collection systems to help cope with any potential water outages.



The Coco bungalow can accommodate up to 4 people. Ideal for a couple or a couple with young children. Fully equipped for a peaceful holiday, you’ll appreciate its lush, flower-filled, and quiet setting, as well as its proximity to the beaches—just a 2-minute drive away.

A washing machine is available free of charge and shared among all units in the guesthouse.
