We had amazing experience at your ranch.

Our family had fun enjoying the outdoors and river. Family dollars was closed by for emergencies. We are planning to go next summer.

Country bliss

This ranch offered so many great things for my family. The 2 homes were nice and fully equipped with everything we needed. We loved having access to the river, I liked that we had a private place to swim, float, kayak and just relax in the beautiful, clear water.

Relaxing time

The houses were clean and tidy. The water is shallow, but we found a great swimming hole with alittle walking. If you like to fish, it was great for catch and release. It was very peaceful and quiet.

Wonderful Summer Stay

Would 10/10 recommend. We had a bigger group of guys and every single of us enjoyed the property. While we did have a slight water issue, the owners were very quick to answer and send someone to fix the problem at 5:00 AM the next day. Crystal clear water and fun amenities will make you rebook your next trip asap.

Family Fun

The property worked well for our family vacation. Great air conditioning all through both cabins. The golf cart made getting to and from the river easy. The outside deck was really nice. A big deep swimming hole a short walk downriver. Son-in-law enjoyed fishing, a lot of catch and release. Ages 5- 60+ everyone enjoyed. Didn't see another person on the river for the 4 days we were there.

Beautiful property with awesome river frontage. Houses had everything we needed, but most of our time was spent outdoors. Our group of 12 had plenty of room with both houses. We left right before the flood, so we hope there wasn’t any damage to the houses/property.

A place to enjoy

Booked for the fist time and it won’t be my last time, it’s great location to relax and have fun I highly recommend it we floated the river all the way down to the damn it wasn’t an easy ride but worth the try (just make sure you keep a car at the bridge) it’s about 3 1/2 hour float full of wonderful Scenery and unforgettable views. If you like the outdoors like us you should book it.

Amazing, peaceful hill country beautiful place

Our family loved our stay at Nomad Ranch. The home has everything you would need for your stay. Quite and peaceful sitting on the big back porch. Wild life to see and hear. River spot was amazing our family has no complaints. We can't wait to return next year. The town of Camp Wood stole our hearts. The folks were so nice. Marci was quick to respond any time i had a question. So much entertainment provided by Nomad Ranch that you dont have to bring from home. Well lit at night outside. Plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed feeding the humming birds and other birds. The home stays nice and cool. We enjoyed trying the free samples and being able to scan the qr codes to order the products that we liked. Driving to the river to let all our items out for the day was great. Our bunch enjoyed the kayaks that is provided. The beautiful live oaks on the property are great for shade. Highly recommend Nomad Ranch for the perfect river vacation.

Great Family Property

Our large family traveled to Camp Wood for a funeral. Nomad Ranch was a property that fit us all and still have plenty of space. Marci was very responsive to all questions and accommodating to requests. The houses are very nicely stocked and beautifully decorated. The outside amenities are where it's at for this property. The deck on the large house and the barn are amazing. River access with hammocks is great. It's was a perfect spot for our family to be together celebrating the life of our loved one. Thank you Nomad Ranch and Marci for helping make this difficult trip easier and being a place to make beautiful new memories.

Thankful Thanksgiving

We had the best time at the Nomad ranch. Communication was extremely easy and she met all of our last minute changes with ease. Our family enjoyed the beautiful grounds, fishing on the Nueces river, sitting by the campfire and so much more! We highly recommend this beautiful property.
