Still love the property after 3 years of booking. Totally satisfied, the only thing missing was the pressure washer which we had available the 2 years before. We sure love the ice machine and the new door locks. Thanks so much!
This is a wonderful fishing camp. The private boat launch and slip are ideal. The ice machine and crab traps were definitely put to good use. I wish we could’ve used the fish cleaning station more; the trout were elusive as usual. The property manager allowed us early access in order to make the most of our arrival fishing day. We really enjoyed the outdoor rocking chairs for relaxing after a long day of chasing trout. An added bonus was evening visits by two of the “neighborhood dogs”- Reed and Black dog. We will definitely book again. Thanks for sharing your incredible camp! Visiting from Beaumont, Texas via Houma, Louisiana
We had a great time at the Hackberry Hooker. They have thought of everything when it comes to what you need for a fishing trip and have it there on site. Will be staying again.
This property was outstanding. The owners spared nothing when building this Camp, all the way to the decor. Extremely comfortable and homey.
Thank you again for allowing us to stay and enjoy...Will definitely rent again on our next trip.
Nice and clean! Great kitchen tools. Nice floor plan. The only thing missing is lamps in living area, other than that we were impressed. Outdoor amenities with grill, pressure washer, fire pit and ice machine made our stay perfect. We will be back soon!
Pics and description just didn’t do this place justice! Tonja was a great host first of all. Beautiful home with every amenity you would ever need for a fishing trip. The pressure washer, the private boat ramp, the proximity to Joe’s Cove, the fish cleaning station, multiple outdoor outlets, multiple water hoses, the spacious parking….I could go on and on! Will definitely be back and this place is worth every penny!
It all started over 14 years ago, our first boat and parking our camper over by Blake Lake. In 2018 the opportunity came available to purchase this home, which at first was 2 bedroom 2 bathroom camp. We have made a lot of progress and then in August 2020 we were hit by hurricane Laura, which pulled the roof off of the original house and caused interior damage. We then reconstructed and added on to have what you see today. We love the town of Hackberry and hope to be full time one day.
What makes this property unique
Boat ramp located on property for guests only, 300 lb. commercial ice machine downstairs, bathroom downstairs The boat lift is not for renters use.
