Spectacular ocean view from the lanai of this second-floor, air-conditioned condo in Wailua Bay View. Enjoy view of waves breaking on Wailua beach, a favorite among kite surfers, and watch the Wailua river flow into the bay. Relax to the sound of surf, breathe fresh ocean air and spend a quiet evening admiring the moonlight glistening on the water or discovering stars in the night sky.
Wailua Bay View condos are located in Kapa’a, on the East coast of Kauai. The central location is ideal for visits to Waimea Canyon, Poipu, but also Hanalei and Northshore beaches. Papaloa beach is only a few steps away and shops and restaurants of Kapa’a are within walking distance. The east shore of Kauai offers surfing, swimming, beaches, hiking trails (Sleeping Giant), biking (8-mile Ke Ala Hele Makalae path), golf (Wailua municipal golf course), kayaking on the Wailua river and more. Wailua Bay View offers a swimming pool with barbecue stations, landscaped gardens and free parking.

The weather was not the best, but we were always blissful on the lanai. The ocean is right there, and we were mezmerized by the sights and sounds. The condo was clean and comfortable. The location is perfect as it is midway between Princeville and Poipu. It is also only about 6 miles from the airport. This was our 2nd stay at Wailua Bay View. We will bring our binoculars next time.

The view from the lanai was amazing! Every morning, we drank our coffee on the lanai, listening to the ocean and seeing shooting stars. Every evening, we ate dinner on the lanai, watching the hydrofoil surfers who zipped across Wailua Bay and the ocean. Ilse was quick to respond to my questions, and we appreciated her flexibility. The central location was convenient for shopping in Kapa'a and in the Coconut Marketplace, as well as for accessing the north and south shores. Highly recommend!

Nice unit in a great location. We enjoyed the great view and the complex has a nice pool that wasn’t overcrowded, like many can be. It was hot and humid with low trade winds when we were there so it was nice to have the air conditioning units to lower the temperature a few degrees in the unit.

A million dollar view

Everything was perfect. We enjoyed our stay, especially the view. Most of our time was spent on the lanai, watching the surf and the surfers. Although we Checked in around midnight, everything was smooth. The location was convenient, walking distance to restaurants and shopping.It was nice to have the air conditioning, especially during the late afternoons when it got a little warm.

Wow! What a great place to stay in Kauai

This condo was clean, comfortable and very convenient as a base to explore Kauai.The condo complex is quiet and well-cared for, set right on Wailau Bay. Our host, Ilse, was attentive and easy to be in touch with.If anything, it was so comfortable, we had to almost prod ourselves to leave the waterfront balcony and our view of the ocean to go elsewhere!Each day we had a front row seat to watch surfers and e-foilers out on the water- and on the second floor lanai, it was a lovely private spot to just chill out with a cold drink and enjoy!

Beautiful view!

This condo is located centrally, making it easy to get to the north and south shores. We spent a lot of time on the back deck watching the ocean, surfers, and Kauai chickens. This place had everything we needed. There were a few places that didn’t seem to be cleaned when we arrived, but we easily cleaned up and enjoyed our week there. The ocean view was tranquil and made our stay so enjoyable!

We had a simply amazing stay here in Kauai. Ilse The owner is extremely communicative and had great recommendations. The property is super clean, and appeared a brand new AC unit had been added in living space and one in the bedroom that cools the space very well if AC is a typical worry you won’t have that problem here! The apartment was well appointed with everything you would need for beach trips (a tube some boogey boards and some beach chairs, along with fully stocked kitchen for all your cooking needs. Really a great location too with many restaurants within walking distance or just a short drive away. If we come back to Kauai we would certainly look into properties that she owns. The view really says it all!

Amazing stay in Wailea

Can’t speak highly enough of this property. You get to wake up to the sound of the ocean right next to you. It’s walkable to good food options. It’s centrally located so easy to get to major sightseeing options. Comes with snorkel and swim gear which is a plus. Loved our stay here! Would highly recommend.

Condo was as described, beautiful view. Condo was well stocked with whatever we needed. Self check in so if you have questions there is no one to help. There was a tree being taken down while we were there so parking was a problem & it was very noisy. One day the on site manager let herself right into the condo when we were there without our permission, that was a little disturbing.

We loved our stay here. This was the cleanest condo we have ever rented. You can see that the manager truly cares about the property. She also was so informative on the local area and was honestly there to help. The view was breathtaking and the sound of the waves was so peaceful. We will definitely return here in the future. location on the island was great - it made it easy to get to the north shore or south area of the island. The street noise was loud and made sleeping somewhat challenging. The proximity to the beach and hearing the ocean made up for it.

Why they chose this property

Wailua Bay View is part of Kapa'a, a historical town centrally located in Kauai. We love the bike path for walking along Wailua Beach and across the Wailua River to Lydgate Park and golf club. We enjoy walking the other direction towards Kapa'a with its restaurants and shops. Hiking is close by (Sleeping giant).

What makes this property unique

Wailua Bay View is centrally located, and an easy drive from the airport. Great location for day trips both to Poipu and Waimea Canyon in one direction, or Northshore and Hanalei in the other direction. The condo is clean and embodies the Hawaiian tradition and culture, while providing amenities for an enjoyable stay.
