This authentic 18th-century riad, once a noble residence during the time of the pashas, retains its traditional layout centred around an open-air central patio and ornate walkways along which the various rooms are arranged.

The decor is decidedly modern, creating a warm, Zen-like atmosphere designed with each guest’s comfort in mind.

The Kasbah is home to King Mohamed VI’s Royal Palace, making it the safest area in the city. Gendarmes, soldiers, and police officers are stationed there 24 hours a day. This is also one of the reasons why Les Jardins de la Medina has set up shop in this area. Our guests can stroll peacefully through the streets of the souks, day or night, without any safety concerns. As you explore the area, you’ll come across the main historical sites that define the city of Marrakech, such as the Saadian Tombs, the El Badi Palace, and the Bab Agnaou Gate.

Taxis:
The most common form of transport in Marrakech is still the taxi. The first thing to do before getting in is to negotiate the fare! As a general guide, a ride from the Hivernage area to city centre costs 20 dirhams, or €2. Fares increase by 50% at night.
Car/Motorcycle Rental:
You can also rent a vehicle to enjoy independence throughout your stay. You can find good deals online or directly at local agencies. Expect to pay between 25–30€ per day for a small city car.
