We made the best of it
Upon arrival everything went pretty smooth, the house was spacious and tho host was very polite. Once we settled in we noticed the house could have been cleaned a little better. some rooms had water bottles and some had trash left out from someone before us. Some carpets in the rooms still had some trash along the edges and some countertops were not wiped and were a bit sticky. A used razor in one of the bathrooms and some used socks thrown in one of the closets. And open boxes in another closet. The shower downstairs wasn’t working but we were able to fix it. She had mentioned the downstairs heater was tricky but we were still never able to get it to turn on. There were clothes inside the washer, the fridge was giving us issues as well and wouldn’t freeze food until the third day. The wifi never worked. A few spider webs around the house and the bottom of the toilets weren’t cleaned also. Bench in the back looks like it’s about to break so no one sat on it. Our biggest concern was the large amounts of rat feces in the garage. We tried to contact several times but weren’t able to reach her until the last day.
