Clean and cozy space. Wonderful stay to unplug and relax. Loved drinking coffee on the deck and were often greeted by Cristina's two dogs. Would definitely love to go back when it was not quite as hot outside to explore more around the cabin.

Janel, oh my gosh, it was hot!! Thank you so much for the amazing feedback, so glad you got to relax!
Cristina and doggos!
Loved this place! It was tucked away in the trees but still only about a 15 minute drive from Washington, which was such a cute little town. The cabin was super comfortable, everything worked great, and the Jacuzzi tub was definitely a highlight. We hope to come back in the colder months to enjoy the beautiful wood burning fireplace for sure. The only slight concern I had was that the stairway up to the cabin was a bit precarious and had some wobbly steps, definitely not something to walk down at night without a flashlight and being very, very careful. But it was such a small detail and didn't deter from the awesome stay at all.

Thank you Mel for the review and feedback. We have plans for those stairs as they did not turn out as expected. It is an improvement coming soon! We hope to see you in the colder months, it really is beautiful out here, especially with snow!
This was an amazing property. The cabin was perfect. Rustic, serene area. Plenty of trails to walk and places to explore. The owners have a house there and have two dogs who made the trip even better. I have included a picture of my view sitting with one of their dogs, relaxing on the deck with a fire pit
Property was great, nice and cozy. Couple of sweet dogs that greeted us. Great place to get away from the city life for a couple days,

This property was perfect for a couple day get a way! The host was wonderful and was very patient with my questions. The cabin is clean and cozy and had everything we needed.
We loved the easy no key entry. The cabin was very cozy with a nice fireplace, comfortable bed, big jacuzzi tub & some necessities. On Saturday morning we woke up to huge snowflakes which truly added to that old fashioned cabin feel.

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was very clean and comfy. We loved the real wood fireplace and wood that was provided, as it was chilly when we were there. We stayed toasty warm. We also enjoyed the daily visits from the owners' dogs each day as well.

About the host
Hosted by Cristina Dulin
Tim and I (Cristina) are passionate about offering the best accommodations as vacation rentals as we possibly can. To be direct, we love our home here on Deer Mountain and we are always honored when someone books. We want everyone to experience Hillside Cabins and love it as much as we do.
We live here as well, our house is the first you'll see then drive back a little further to find our 2 beautiful cabins.
We are empty nesters my husband and I, but we do have 2 dogs that get tons of attention, Remington and Oliver. When you stay with us on Deer Mountain it is possible you'll meet at least 1 of our fur babies ("Remi"); he will come down and hang out with you, everyone is a friend. He'll even come into the cabin with you and quite possibly sit on the front porch bench and watch you from afar. "Ollie" is more a mommas boy and stays closer to home, but he enjoys company as well.
Why they chose this property
We visited this property on a whim, we really didn't believe it was for us, but from the first step out onto the property and after letting it soak it for a few, sold! We never thought we'd live on acreage coming from St. Peters, both of us from the Burbs!
We envision our grandkids with little hammers and chisel's, chiseling away looking for dino bones in the rocks. We left a pool behind, but nothing beats seeing our dogs run through and drink from the spring. We are experiencing nature like we never have before and loving it!
Some of our very first thoughts were, Can't wait to have visitors, whether it is family or peeps needing to get away. Sharing what we have is important to us; especially coming out of a rough 2020.
What makes this property unique
There's something about the property that invites you to be there. The trees, the sounds from the woods, and wildlife just exude relaxation. Peace and quiet and feeling like you belong seems to be the general census.
