Good Sarasota Downtown area

We had house near Payne Park, Legacy Trail and downtown area. House 2 comfortable bedrooms , living room, kitchen, dining room, small laundry room and bathroom. Parking was available and free. Outside side area had table, umbrella and 4 chairs. This area was half grass covered with dirt making it difficult to sit out or lay in sun.

All you need for your stay

This place has all you need for your stay and for your beach visit. Located a few minutes walk from the BayRunner beach shuttle, you have compact beach chairs and even a cooler and beach towels. The place is well equipped, with good TV, outdoor dining with BBQ and every handy amenity including laundry (in back), a big fridge and oven, a blender and all necessities in the kitchen. Little details add to comfort, such as a convenient shelf in the shower, lots of hooks for towels, hangers and tons of drawer space to settle in. The hosts also add plenty of little, touches. Whether it’s the dish soap and sponge or the foam hand soap or the accessible multi-outlet recharging station, it all adds to the comfort and convenience. And excellent communication and ease of check-in/out. Enjoy.

Clean! Pet Friendly. Good location.

House was very basic and uncluttered which showed how clean everything was. Older kitchen and bath but clean and functional. We travel with our dog so really appreciate hosts that allow pets and have strict rules on their pet policy so I know furniture & beds are clean. Location so close to downtown allowed us to walk or bike daily to restaurants, shops and many parks including beautiful waterfront areas. The Legacy bike trail is just a few blocks away. We stayed 2 months (January & February) and encountered one issue that required attention from owner. We were happy to get immediate response and action taken to resolve. Neighborhood had many run down, vacant houses mixed with nice family homes but overall, we felt safe.

Relocation stay not vacation

We closed on our home and stayed in the vrbo while tile was installed and house was painted basically we just slept there. The house was older but in good shape. The neighborhood was ok. What I did not like was, there is no back door. If you want to sit in the yard you have to walk all the way around the house. Another thing if the house caught fire, there is only 1 way out. Also the w/d us on the back porch. Again, you have to walk around the house to access. Midway through our stay I received an email telling me not to put shoes in the dryer (which I did not do. If fact, we were in Massachusetts for a family issue that day) he also told me not to leave food on the counter. A loaf of bread was all that was on the counter..but the bigger question is, was he in my vrbo while I was away? Creepy! Overall the stay way decent under the cercumstances but I won't stay there again.

Due to covid in VRBO we have these rules with food and believe it or not, people wash shoes in washing machines, the yard is in the front or to the side, (see the pictures), but not in the back, also there are smoke detectors in every room and living room to keep you safety, best regards

Perfect for a working vacation!

We're a 3 piece, touring musical entertainment group. We rented the property for 3 weeks. It was a last minute booking in the off season and the property owner and staff were great and incredibly accommodating! Communication was superb. The owner gave us all the information we needed for the entire stay, including lots of tips on places to see and go when we weren't working. It was exactly as described. It wasn't oversold and the description was honest and forthright. That said, even though this place seems basic, it really had everything we needed; large bedrooms, a great kitchen to cook in and the entire place has a welcoming, open space where everyone can gather and hang out. It's not the Taj Mahal, but it's a lovely little house to spend 3 weeks in! We were close to everything; many restaurants, parks, attractions, the beach. Most everything was walking distance, a free trolly ride or a short drive away. The only down side was the neighborhood. We were walking distance to million dollar condos and expensive restaurants, which was really nice, but the neighborhood was a wee sketch. We never felt unsafe, but the homeless population and economic disparity of the surrounding neighborhoods was on full display. Not the fault of the property in ANY way, but something that I feel should be noted. It would not hinder us from renting again, however. Overall it was a great experience. We had a great time & would rent again!

Absolutely loved!!!

My boyfriend, our toddler and I stayed for exactly a week. The check in and check out process is quick and easy. We had everything we needed at the house. The house is close to everything in Sarasota. The neighborhood felt very safe. The property manager helped with anything that we needed. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone!!!

perfect location for the islands

It is kind of a plain jane but we really only slept there or had some evening time before bed. There has been a lot of improvements to the property and it looks good. The floor was not that clean and we got a swiffer that fixed that issue and the tp was on the short side and we fixed that. It is just 7 miles from the island beaches and St Armands. Was exactly what we wanted as we spent the week shopping and on the beach. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was clean. Would stay there again for the location and price.

Vacation rental

First of all the communication was great, but the pictures and some of the amenities are very misleading. My husband is currently handicapped and the bathroom is not at all handicap accessible. He couldn't get his walker in there to use the bathroom w/out the help of someone and it was still a problem. The picture showed a whole sectional and it was only a qtr of it. The beds were okay, my brother said it felt like you were sleeping on a brick. It said there was cable/satellite- NO! Only antenna and you only got 4 channels sometimes 6. We had to go out and buy cords $30 to be able to watch the Super Bowl. The back yard is messy, sandy dirt? you basically had to sweep anytime anyone would come in or out and who wants to do that on vacation? These are 4 people's reviews into one review.
