The House of the Marais
Enjoy privileged moments in this real maraîchine in the heart of the Marais Poitevin with its terraces and private pier. Charm, comfort, nature, and calm guaranteed. Relax in this unique and quiet accommodation.
The accommodation has a crazy charm, in the heart of a typical village of the Marais Poitevin while having direct and privileged access to nature and the conche.
The front door opens into a huge living room with a cathedral ceiling and in which the wood stove sits.
On your left, a more intimate dining area and the fully equipped semi-open kitchen. There is then a laundry area with washing machine, toilet and washbasin.
A few steps to climb lead you to a large bedroom and its bathroom with a sink and a shower.
Then, a wooden and metal staircase allows you to go down from the living room and discover a second living room which has a BZ sofa. A library landing leads to the master bedroom, its dressing room and its bathroom with a sink and a shower. From this level, you reach the wooden terraces with the garden furniture and the outdoor dining area, the private pier on the conche. A private boat moored at the pier will be at your disposal free of charge for the duration of your stay.

A private parking space in front of the house is reserved for tenants for the duration of their stay at La Maison du Marais.

In the village of La Garette itself, about 200m/300m from our house, there is a large outdoor municipal summer swimming pool called Châtelet open only in July and August. There is also a large equestrian centre open all year round offering horse, pony or carriage rides.
A bike rental company (classic or electric) is located 250m from the house. Two restaurants are open from Easter to September in the village.
The other shops and markets are 3km away (Coulon and Magné). There are many cycle routes that cross the Marais Poitevin such as the Vélodyssée or the Francette.

A guide is at the disposal of travellers to prepare their visit with the many activities whether in the department of Deux-Sèvres, Charente Maritime or Vendée, in addition to all the discoveries to be made in the Marais Poitevin, on foot, by boat, by bike or on horseback!

OTHER INFORMATION
A deposit check of 800€ will be requested on arrival and not cashed. It will be returned on departure of travellers if no damage is found.

Two clarifications:
- wood is provided for the wood stove
- the reasonable and reasoned use of electric radiators and/or reversible heat pumps (heating/air conditioning) is included, however it is specified that in terms of electricity consumption 50 euros per week is already included in the rental price. Any energy overrun will be due at the end of the stay and this exclusively in the event of excess. A metre reading is drawn up as soon as travellers arrive, a second reading will be drawn up at the end of the stay for possible regularisation. It is a question of controlling energy consumption together, as exceedances are very rare.
