#1 Swamp Life-Uncertain Lodge and Inn

Uncertain Lodge and Inn is a local, family owned Inn, located on a picturesque piece of land on beautiful Caddo Lake. #1 Swamp Life is a waterfront room. This room does not have a water front view, but it is right around the corner, allowing you to walk around the corner, to immediately enjoy the tranquility of the beautiful view.
#1 Swamp Life offers a full size bed, a twin bed, and a bathroom, which is very nice and comfortable for an individual, a couple, or a small family, looking for a cozy place to get away.
All linens are provided, including sheets, comforters, bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths. We provide a 2-burner electric cook top for your convenience, however, you must bring your own cooking utensils. We also have a very welcoming pavilion with picnic tables, 3 charcoal grills (charcoal and lighter fluid not provided), a smoker, and a full size refrigerator for your use. This area is great for bringing groups together for dinner, entertaining, or just for relaxing and unwinding.
#6 Lake Time also has a full-size refrigerator, microwave & coffee maker (with coffee provided). Small bars of soap are also provided for your use.
All of the rooms at Uncertain Lodge and Inn are non-smoking, however, you are welcome to smoke outside on the premises.
Uncertain Lodge and Inn is located next door to a popular boat launch, Johnson's Ranch Marina.
Time spent at Uncertain Lodge and Inn is sure to give you a relaxing escape, from grilling, fishing, boating, and playing games in the lake front yard. With Caddo Lake being a 25,400-acre lake, you will never run out of memory making activities. You can expect great fun, with friends and family, making you want to stay longer with every visit.

Nice Caddo Lake Getaway!

The room was small but clean and had everything we needed. Enjoyed the easy lake access, where we were able to leave the boat in the water at their small dock. Just to note, in case you miss the fine print, this is a lodge where half of the rooms front the lake and the other half from the street. You’re still able to use all amenities and the owners were very accommodating and friendly!

Good location for the activities we had planned. We were able to book a rm. that sleeps 3. You book on line and you are told the check in and out times and that your door will be unlocked and the key on the table. Same way at check out. Leave door unlocked and key on the table. No staff is present. Actually, the door was locked 30 minutes past check in necessitating a call to the contact #. Someone showed maybe 10min. later. The water from the faucet was cloudy. The temp. was hard for us to figure out and the air filter was very dirty. Since I was not expecting high end accommodations that is why I say it was o.k. There was a coffee pot, fridge, microwave, shower and no closet.

Ended up calling the owner of hotel directly to find out information.Leak under refrigerator with water in puddle on floor in kitchen.Shower curtain rod fell on both of us as we showered hitting us in the headNo wash rags to use in shower.No paper towels.People partied outside close to the wall of our cabin until after midnight so we could not sleep. Tried to call and text owner several times with noise complaint with no response. Would not recommend this place and would NEVER go back.

Wonderful place

We enjoyed our stay very much. The motel is lovely and our hosts were very nice. They made sure we had everything we needed and gave us recommendations on were to eat. Having boat slips on the property was a life saver. We would definitely stay again.

Two horrible nights to remember. It seemed like the owner of the property had a couple of parties in the patio area next to our room both nights we stayed there. We had trouble sleeping, and we woke up several times to screams, barks from the owner’s dog, and people singing. There was little to no privacy, and the folks we encountered were not particularly friendly or polite to us. I can’t imagine that what we experienced was unique to us, so I have a hard time believing the reviews I found online after being there ourselves. Very disappointing.

Leanne and I both grew up in Marshall Texas - in fact, we grew up directly across the street from one another. Our friendship started early on. Leanne left town to pursue a degree in nursing, and I remained in town, pursuing my dream of living on Caddo Lake. I have been to many lakes over the years, but I have always had a passion and love for Caddo Lake. I moved here to Caddo Lake in 2020, where I began making my dreams come true. The only thing missing, was my dream girl to share in the experience with me. Leanne and I rekindled our friendship long distance, as she was living in the DFW area. In April 2025, we married on our property here on Caddo Lake, and she and our son Parker, now call Caddo Lake "our home", and we enjoy making memories every day!

When I saw this property with such stunning views and perfect access to the lake that I love, I knew that this was the perfect opportunity to share the gift of Caddo Lake with everyone else. Our property is located in one of the most popular areas of the lake, offering guests the most optimal experience. Leanne, Parker, and I live a half mile away, allowing us to visit with the guest and share the history of Caddo Lake everyone.
